Abuse is like a virus that spreads in overt, covert, and even unintentional ways, breeding dysfunction within families, relationships, and the next generation of society. Obvious abuse is easy to identify, but many times abuse can be spread without the victim or abuser realizing it. Regardless, the abuse impacts our lives, our health, our wealth, and all that matters most to us.
Abuse can occur to people of all ages, in all levels of severity, and it has compounded effects throughout life. Whether the abuse came to you as a child, adult, or senior, or whether it was unintended or intentionally caused harm, destruction, or even murder, I believe it’s time to:

Stop ignoring the dysfunction in your life and family, and be real with the facts.
Stop lying to yourself, and be honest with yourself.
Stop blaming others, and start exercising self-responsibility.
