So now that we've seen that when we align several nodes, we get symmetrical parts of the first segments, we trace, we're going to try and reproduce a perfect circle. Obviously, when you are drawing and you want a circle, you just come here to the side toolbar and select the primitive shape for a circle and you just trace it. Okay, that's, that's as complex as it gets tracing a circle. But this is not about that. This is about learning how to use the pencil. So we're going to try and do exactly that.
But with a pen tool by hand, so the first thing I want to show you is that this circle has four different nodes. And as we just saw in the lesson before, two of them are aligned, and vertically, two of them are aligned. So that's what we have to try and achieve. So let's get rid of this now. And let's activate the pen tool. And the first thing you're gonna do what Of course, show your grid and click one of these points, select the one you prefer somewhere in the middle of your canvas.
And the first difference we're going to see with the circle we saw before is that our first notice sharp doesn't really matter. It's fine. Now, we come here, and as we pull, we're gonna have the second one. Soft, you were able to work the same, and I'm going to put clicking shift towards the sides to the limits of our main squares. Okay, now as we saw before, if I just click here, I'm going to get a symmetrical mirror segment. And now the next one is going to be exactly the same boat.
Of course, I'm going to need to pull because if I don't pull I'm going to get shot, not too sharp note I'm going to get a straight line. So repeats shock node. Now I'm going to pull like I did here. So I click president holding also shift towards the limits of the square. And the last one, I'm not going to need to pull because we already have azmuth note towards a shot, no. And there we go.
So now if we just make this a bit thicker, we're gonna see that we have this almost perfect circle. Quite good, I'd say. Especially considering that well, I did it quite quickly. Anyways, practice this exercise practice the ones before understand that when you align notes, things are gonna get mirrored, and symmetrical and let's go to the next lesson where things are going to get much more fun.
