Hi, everyone. In this video, we're going to talk about how we can bring the joy back in our lives. I often observe people when I go out into public, and most of the time they look very serious, busy and stressed. I know that all of us have many demands, and we have lots to accomplish. But what about joy? When was the last time you felt this big burst of joy?
Laughter, a sense of aliveness in this digital age, you're so connected to our devices and and this hyper connectivity takes us away from noticing the moments of joy. A cool breeze in a warm day. A smile on a friend's face, enjoying a delicious piece of chocolate. Hearing the bird sing. Here is a question for you. When was the last time you felt joy in your life?
Let's do a quick visualization exercise to help you remember. Let's pause for a moment focusing on our breath flow. Noticing each cycle of breath and feeling more and more relaxed as you breathe in and out. closing your eyes and bring into mind a time when you felt happy, joyful and alive. Going back in time, and noticing what triggered these emotions. Maybe a hug by a loved one.
Watching your children play a family get together or a great holiday. You can also focus on what is already put in your life. What are you grateful for at this moment? Maybe bringing someone or something into your mind that puts a smile on your face. Once you have the feeling of joy and happiness, stop noticing the physical sensations in your body. Which part of your body feels more joyful?
You may notice a buzzing sensation around your heart. A feeling of lightness in your shoulders. Sense of lightness and vibrancy on your face. Feeling these sensations deeply, focusing on them, enjoying them knowing that you can have access to them in any moment if you choose to. Bringing the joy back in your life and taking a deep breath in now and gently and slowly coming back, opening your eyes Welcome back. Often we tend to focus on the negative, what is not working?
What is missing, we complain and criticize. How about challenging ourselves to see the goodness using our ability to generate emotions that will enhance our lives, such as love, gratitude and joy. Well, this is the end of our time together. I hope you will start living a more joyful, vibrant Alive live by practicing what you have learned in this course.
