I spoke in one of the earlier videos about how I changed my relationship with exercise. I used to contact my trainer towards the end of September. And I would work out in the lead up to summer off and I'd have a beach holiday planned. And I would work out quite, you know, quite strenuously, and religiously, I would work out, lose around five kilos. Often there was a challenge or some sort of goal thing to get you through to summer that I would participate in. And then I'd go over on my holiday where my betas feel good.

And come back, put on the wage and say, you know, I'll see you in September again, and I could never understand why there were people that worked out and all year round. I was like, you don't need to be invaders. You You know the middle of July what why are you exercising the whole time? Anyway, this was a patent for years. I would contact her in September. And when I gave up diets gave up the eating disorder, decided that I was going to change my life around food and the way I saw my body.

I knew that exercise needed to be a part of it. Now. I'm very, you know, I'm big on find what it is that works for you. I love I love training, I love weights I love and I love the exercises that my trainer puts out for me, and I may hate her at the time but I always love her after. You want to find what it is that works for you. You know, sometimes doing the housework is a workout you know you break into a sweat.

When you vacuuming and mopping and doing all of that stuff. You might love the gardening. You know when you're squatting Down, pulling out weights all of that next that takes aside that something. When I realized that exercise needed to be a part of my life, I knew that exercise couldn't be something that I did for a couple of months and then quit. And so I've just completed my first winter ever, which is fabulous. It's now mid November.

And I'm so proud of myself because I have a new mindset with it. The alarm goes off at 530 I jump out of bed, my clothes are already in the bathroom ready for me. I jump out of bed and I don't allow myself to lie there and think it's really quite nice and cozy in bed. I think I'll just lie in because I know that exercise is a gift I can give to my body. And I want to give to my body. You know, I've been so cool to my body for so many years, but I actually want to give it a gift.

I want to give it the gift of movement and In return, I get energy. I have improved mental health, I feel fish and strong. And I'm role modeling to my family, the importance of being active and being physical. And I think when we start thinking that we have to exercise for an hour, and we think we don't have time, you know, work like this, this is all of these things that come up. Well, it doesn't have to be an hour, studies have shown that a 10 minute walk can can improve your mood levels significantly. So if at the very minimum, you walk around the block once well that's better than not walking around the block at all, you know, use the things that are in your kitchen, couple of teams in you know, doing some bicep curls while you're waiting for the pasta sauce to cook through.

There are things that you can do, but it's it's just taking that time for yourself. I think so often. As moms in particular, we don't prioritize ourselves. moving your body can be a gift, but you've got to find what it is that you love. Maybe you like to take the bike out and ride around the block for a little while. Maybe you have stairs in your house and you just decide that every day you're going to go up three flights of stairs.

Maybe you want to download some of the apps that are out there. There are some great seven minute workout apps, that seven minutes is better than not doing seven minutes. So don't think to yourself seven minutes, what's that going to do? It does something and it's not about weight loss. It's not. It's not about weight loss.

It is about your mental health. It is about how you feel and I feel fabulous. And I know that you will too. Just need to find something that works for you. Even if it's taking the stairs instead of instead of the lift You know those simple things that people suggest, find what it is and then give your body the gift. It's a gift.

It is a blessing. Think of all those people that can't move their bodies that wish that they had, either. I never want to look back and realize that I took my amazing body for granted. So, find something, make at least five things that you think you might be able to do. And then just start, just go for it. Do it.
