DESCRIPTION: A simple drill to teach your players to receive the ball properly is the windshield wiper drill. Without using a glove, toss squishy balls to your players and have them pretend their hand is a windshield wiper working across the front of their body. This will eliminate them from flipping their hand upside down (the position most players get hit in the face). If the player’s hands are too small to catch the ball it is okay if they smack it or tap it down with their fingers/palm.
