Stakeholder analysis in the last video, we looked at stakeholder triage, which is a great way to start your analysis. But the reality is that people don't fall into one or four boxes. So once you've conducted your triage, you need to conduct a more detailed analysis, particularly of your high priority stakeholders. And a simple way to do this is using a template like the one on the screen at the moment. So let me talk you through the different steps in completing the template. Of course, you need to list the stakeholder and the objectives that you have with regards to that stakeholder is a simple statement.
Secondly, you need to document for that stakeholder what their perceived attitudes are to the change what you think But you think, and you know that you may need to do some research to validate your perceptions. And you may need to do some influencing to change those perceptions if they're based on faulty thinking. But for now, document what you think their perceptions are. That's the next note down with their stake in the change what they need from it, what they want from it, what they hope will happen. So for example, if you've got users of an icy system, then the sorts of things they will want is easy transition, easy to use, interface, easy to learn shortcodes, those sorts of things, the things they need, will be short wait times on refresh, and certain information will need to be to hand on their screens. And once you've documented what they need from change, you can start to think about what you need from them.
Is it cooperation in one particular area? Is it information Is it sign off? Is it agreements, engagement, we're testing process. So think about what you need from them. And when you've documented that, the final step in your analysis is think about the strategies you can apply the tactics you can use to make those strategies happen. So if you need to engage with them, to win them over and to find out their opinions, how are you going to do it?
You can meet with them, are you going to send them surveys? Are you going to keep them updated on a regular basis to start to put together your plan? A very simple technique, a very simple template, one you can download
