Hello, I'm Daniela Melon and author and artist. Welcome to my beginner's watercolor class on painting a bunch of carrots. In today's class, we'll create a brilliantly pigmented painting, using basic watercolor supplies an eight by 10 sheet of watercolor paper to create a bunch of seven carats that look like they were picked from the garden will use a painterly approach, meaning lots of brushstrokes, paint dabs, and splotches. To emphasize the hand painted nature of our work. will start out with a sketch that you can trace from the downloadable template and then we'll select our colors. Carrots are marvelous in that they can be striking in orange, and they also come in a rainbow of colors, purples, yellows, reds, and even Black will start our painting and even if you decide To paint each carrot in a different color, I'll show you ways to coordinate and unify your piece.

I've also included a bonus lesson and downloadable template for making a carrot seed packet. This illustration will be a little more challenging to complete, and it's a way to practice the techniques from class to create a more involved painting. I hope you try your hand at painting a bunch of carrots using the steps shown. Thank you for joining me today.
