Hey guys, before we go through the next lecture into the details of the resume is now important to understand the process. So in the modern day, 21st century How do recruiters hire how to HR hire what is the process? So this is important because you don't understand the process. There's something that's going to go wrong or wrong way for you. So first and foremost, let's go through it. The first is this, you have a resume and you have a cover letter and you you know, you put online, your resume you you go to the website, you go to a job seeking site like seek com.au for business showing those in America, UK, wherever you may be.

There is an online portal that you typically apply through. And so that online portal actually vets your resume we call it a software bot or a bot a computer bought whatever you want to call it. This particular bot is scanning your resume for keywords Key sentence key lines, matching words with their necessary words that they require. For instance, it could be your skills, matching a job, the job script description, details and requirements with your resume. It could be the company values with your resume, all those types of things. So, there are two types of finance specific keywords as, as well as just general resume key words.

And this is super important, this stuff by a bot will scan it. And then if it doesn't pick up these particular words, or two particular sentences or this particular vocabulary, your resume will literally go into the bin. So you might find that you've been applying for all these jobs and like hitting your head as to why you know even getting a callback. This is probably the reason why, amongst other reasons, and we'll go through them later. So second phases, if you've passed online software, but you typically go through depending how big the organization is, you typically go to the HR team or the recruiter So some bigger companies will get you to an online test to make sure you have sufficient IQ, as well as aptitudes. They call it, you know, aptitude tests, psychometric testing, all those types of things that tests logic, spatial reasoning, your mathematics skills, your English skills, all those types of stuff, depending on the company that you're working for.

So if you pass that, you would then get your resume submitted to HR, or the recruiter, and they're going to view it. This is where the presentation, what you highlights, your resume, what it looks like, the content, all the stuff is really important, because once you go through to that level, the HR will then you know, depending how many positions are hiring for, that'd be one, or 20, whatever it may be. they'll decide out of all those ones who've been through the software, but the online testing, how many go to the interview. So typically, you either get a phone interview or a video interview. And then after that, if you're good, they'll do a face to face into your HR, or the manager. And typically for the larger organization, your junior manager, HR, and then a partner or senior or senior management or general manager, all that type of stuff.

And then if you pass all those stages, then you get the offer. So, why is this so important? Because the resume, what we're doing right now is going to help you with the software but as well as the HR team so that you can actually get the interview. So you may be scratching your head wondering why not? These are the reasons why you're not okay. So we're going to go through some of these things later in more detail in the next lectures.
