Lesson 16, you must believe in yourself. You may believe in network marketing, you may believe in your company and your product. But if you do not believe in yourself, none of that stuff matters. I can't make you believe in yourself as much as I would try. But I can promise you that believing in yourself is crucial to success in network marketing and actually to living the life you deserve. I want to congratulate you for getting this far, but you haven't made it all the way.

I have many friends who have incredible success stories in network marketing. It's changed their lives and it could change yours to a broke school bus driver who had failed so often. Nobody believed he would ever succeed at anything, is making more than $300,000 a year and in immigrant who came to the United States with almost nothing, didn't even speak English was a pizza delivery driver, a college freshman, for three years, makes more than $600,000 a year in network marketing, a guy who was unemployed and so broke, he started teaching CPR classes, just to make a few bucks has made more than $600,000 a year. The best part is they made these incredible incomes with no previous success in network marketing. Yet, no matter how many examples I share with you, it really doesn't matter. You may be thinking, well, they may have done it, but I could never make that kind of money.

If that's your attitude, you're absolutely right. There was nothing special about these people except for one thing, at one point in their lives, they believed in themselves enough to go for it. If you think you cannot achieve what we have achieved, then there's no reason for you to start or continue in your network marketing business because I promise you, you will fail. No matter what you do in life, you must believe in yourself. You know, I've done some crazy things in my life, but perhaps none crazier than what I'm about to share with you. I worked at the cheapskate roller rink in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1975.

When the thought hit me, I'm going to break a world record. sure a lot of kids think about breaking the world record, but how many of them actually go for it? My goal was to own the world record for rollerskating marathon. The Guinness Book of World Records was a big deal back in the 1970s, at least for me. I pleaded with my parents to let me go for it. And when my parents said yes, I had to convince the owners of the cheapskate roller rink that it would be good for them to stay open 24 hours a day for as long as I could skate.

I believed in myself so much that I was able to convince them then 18 days after my 16th birthday on June Seventh 1975 at 1pm I rolled onto the rink, beginning my quest for worldwide fame and fortune. Okay, probably not exactly three days after my adventure began and ended. Now you might think I would have been devastated. After all, I didn't even come close to the world record of 147 hours, I was bummed. But I was instantly the most popular 16 year old boy in Omaha, Nebraska. After my failed attempt, there were radio interviews, newspaper articles, and a lot of people wanted to be my friend.

Pretty cool stuff. I failed. But I learned a lot in the process. One thing I learned is that you shouldn't go without sleep for three days. That's a bad thing. I learned that you can do a lot more than most people think you can do learned that you can feel good about yourself.

Even if you don't achieve exactly what you set out to accomplish. those lessons would serve me well over the next four decades of my life. I believed I was so enthusiastic. Others believe Did me I didn't attain my goal, but I learned that I could learn from failing, I learned that there was nothing to be ashamed of when you fail. I learned that even when you fall short, you can still win, I learned to believe in myself for the rest of my life. Now, I would love to tell you that I've never doubted myself since then.

But that's not true. There have been many times when I've temporarily forgotten those valuable lessons. If you want to be successful in a network marketing business, you must believe in yourself, you must become so enthusiastic that others believe in you. If you fail to attain your goals in the past and network marketing, you must recognize that you can learn from failing, you must understand that there's nothing to be ashamed of. When you fail. You must understand that even when you fall short, you can still win.

You must learn to believe in yourself for the rest of your life. Of course, you're going to make mistakes. So what making mistakes is a good thing as long as As you learn from those mistakes, you'll probably take baby steps in your network marketing business, you're not going to be earning $100,000 a year overnight took me about a year to get to that point. How about turning a profit? That'd be a great start, wouldn't it? How about making $2,000 a month, part time, that's an even better start.

And the best part is, you can do this. Now most of us carry a lot of baggage with us all of our lives. The failures in our past do not have to predict our future. But all too often, we let those failures trap us into thinking that we cannot escape. We believe that we cannot escape the feelings of failure that we've had to deal with. Every time we tried and failed and tried and failed.

If I can succeed in network marketing, anybody can. Most people prefer to stay in a place where everything's safe and secure. It would have been much safer, not to attempt to break a world record. Nobody knew that I wanted to do it. So if I just kept it to myself There was no way I could be ridiculed for looking foolish. If I fail.

All too often, we conclude that we've already failed. Even before we've tried, we failed to recognize that the greatest failure in life is not losing. It's just not trying at all. Of course, you can be ridiculed if you try and fail, but so lot, you're always gonna miss 100% of the shots you don't take. One of the biggest reasons we do nothing is that we are afraid of what other people will say about us if we fail. We care way too much about what other people say.

We care way too much about what other people think. And we care way too much about what other people do. Who cares what they say what they think and what they do. are other people going to pay your bills seriously, when other people explain to your children why you can't attend their dance recital or school play. Who cares what other people say think and do now. I mean, no disrespect.

But do you really want to live your life just by getting by I mean the reason You got into network marketing, I would suspect most people do is because they want to live a better life. Do you want to survive? Or do you want to thrive? Making excuses instead of building a glorious future? Who wants that your current beliefs are helping you or they are hindering you. Many of our beliefs, our limiting beliefs that keep us from reaching our true potential.

Well, I'd sure love to be as successful as those people I see on stage at the convention every year, but I'm just not them. They don't know what I'm going through right now. That's what you're thinking. They just don't know when I'm going through at work in my marriage or whatever. If you ever said that stuff or thought that way. I have.

I know. My goal is to help you embrace the beliefs which empower you support you guide you on your path to prosperity in network marketing. I want to help you let go of those limiting beliefs which are holding you back if I can achieve great success. All the times I failed, if my friends can achieve great success, after all the times they failed, you can live a life of abundance through network marketing. Now, when you hold on to your failures from the past, all you're doing is limiting your future, the past does not have to predict your future. If you don't have all four of the beliefs, beliefs in network marketing, belief in your company, belief in your product and belief in yourself, then you honestly won't even attempt to achieve the prosperity that's available to you right now.

It's a fact the fear of failure in any any endeavor. any endeavor is powerful. When fear starts to grow, as it often does, when we're trying something new. Something feels awkward, something different, or something we perceive is risky than the fear of failure can often stop us from doing anything. That fear paralyzes us, even if we have some reason to believe the risk might be worth the reward. complete and total belief eliminates fear.

Let me say it again, complete and total belief eliminates fear. When you have belief in yourself, you overcome the fear of failure, because this time, you know you're going to win. The fear of humiliation and failure no longer holds the power it once did. Because when you have all four beliefs, you have the courage and confidence to move forward. If you share your business and people don't say yes, so what? What does that have to do with you changing your life?

Let me tell you, nothing. Here's the test. Find out if you have total belief, all four of the beliefs. Do you share your products and your business? with everybody? You know?

If the answer to that question is yes, then congratulations, you have total belief. If the answer is no, then you need to figure out which one of the four beliefs you're missing, because you're missing at least one nothing will stop you When you have total belief in network marketing, when you totally believe in your company, your products and yourself
