Hello, in this video, I am going to show you how to implement a Cupertino text field. The Cupertino text field is one, or it's a text field that lead to input text does start in Cupertino fashion, basically, and add it as you want in a child directory or widget that serves as the order forms and however you want. I mean like a list of widgets, depending on what sort of you know, this container has in a row or column, you could have a list of widgets, so you're attributing them to text fill. What this literally will produce Why didn't it produce me? Let me just quickly do a hot restart in case you mess it up. Oh, there it is.
I did not see it. So there it is right there on the side, my keyboard up and talking with this one. I didn't want to pick that one. As you can see, we can just click it. Okay, so there are other properties that we can mess around with styling being one of them. So we can say textile.
You could say color, color, color, red, and red stoner, and you can modify all of this. There's a whole heap of styles from font size to the height to the declaration store, under the next test recommended. There's a bunch of others On my pad in decoration as exceeded a lot, you know whether it's even enabled or not the cursor with stickers, radios, and other keyboard types, so you can change the type of keyboard which i think you know, a pretty cool thing. Again, I want you to experiment with all of this as an extra task. What I really want to show you is the event which were the options unchanged. Okay, I'll do a fault restart.
Okay, so if I click that Hello. I think can see everything Watching a nice looking space is being printed here with a bunch of spaces. And because the lack of double spacing puts a full stop, but as you can see, the amount of spacing is less. So the unchanged event is really, really cool. And what you predict to be actually able to use the value from the Cupertino tech field outside and maybe in another part of the classroom and pattern into a function is to have a variable here on the screen. I'll call it Val.
And by default, we can set it to a string. And here you can just say, Val, buddy, and that way every time a change is made to the text field. I didn't need character when you're deleting the character Why didn't about Toma it will be reflected here and if you use this you'll get whatever is in the text field. Again, there are other properties as well. always mess around with your the property Have a look at these are the two events on editing complete and on submitted. So the on submitted event is when you click that, and often you implement that in a very similar fashion.
You could even per print, say it has been submitted. So that's it for the Cupertino textfield. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a message. And as usual, I look forward to seeing you in the next video.
