Hey welcome back to build winning courses. This is step six, add activities lesson two project and discovery based learning. This is so much more fun than lecture and discussion he got used lecture sometimes and discussion is really good that embed them in these two and you've really got something that's powerful in project based learning there is a task that you are assigned to work on during the course of a training. So in this course, we are using a form of project based learning because I asked you to find one of your own courses, and edit it according to these lessons is on project based learning you have to look at the objectives that you have and create a scenario or a situation or a task that fulfills those that also requires learners to demonstrate specific kinds of knowledge or skill as they go along completing project you've assigned them so it takes a lot of forward thinking and backward thinking at the same time.

Now if I just given you a bunch of stuff and said go off and do it on your own and check back in with me, I'll tell you how you did. That would be discovery based learning. Discovery based learning has a set of information that you know you want the learners to get that is covered in the materials that you give them. But you allow them to draw their own conclusions and report back to you in some form, what they've learned. So it's more open ended than project based learning, see where they might work in your course. And then let's go on to the next step.
