Okay friends so as I told you before, I'll be using Digital Ocean, just go digital ocean.com and sign up before you click on sign up. Don't forget to use my link attached. Anyway, now after you sign up, log into your account, I will sign into my account, very simple Hillier in my dashboard. What you are going to do is click on this Create button here and click on droplet.

A droplet simply is a VPS server. This is how these double ocean names its servers create a droplet and now go to marketplace here and select lamb on 18.4 or a lamp server. Once the lamp server simply It's already configured for web hosting. So really, things will be super easy for you. You just get the server upload mail with and start using it. You'll see how things really simple.

So now select lamp. Let's go now here to pricing and you can select $10 machine if you want, or whatever you want. Select your region, and then go down and select a hostname for your machine. What do you want to choose this hostname used as a subdomain of your main domain in my case, my domain is edge educate dotnet I will say here mailing as an example, dot educate dotnet very simple. Go down and click Create droplet. Now in a couple of minutes, Digital Ocean will prepare and set up this server and we'll send you the credentials to your email.

So let's wait a little bit and come back Digital Ocean Okay friends, I can see I will drop it is created and this is the IP address. And in my inbox I have this email from Judo ocean containing my root username and password. Very nice. So now we are going to connect to this machine and configure it so it's ready to host and upload mail whiz on. So we are going to use an application called booty sh client. It's a free application a free small application that we are going to use to connect to this machine.

So I will attach the link download this software. It's super easy just open the Applications folder and then run putti application. It looks like this one here. I will copy this IP address and paste here then go to password here and click Apply. And here I am on my screen I will say root and just face this password to paste this just right click inside this black screen, the password will be pasted the it will not be seen, but it's there. This for security reasons, click enter.

Very nice. The first thing it will ask you is to change this password, enter the current password again. So basically again, right click your mouse, Enter. And now let's enter a new password. Be sure to enter a strong password for your machine. And here we are.

So now we changed our server password. The second thing I will do is to point my sub domain this domain e mailing actually gave dotnet to this IP address. I will copy this address here, copy go to my domains on again. And now simply click Add and now select an A record points to this IP address and say here, meaning very simple, click Save. So now we can access ourselves. Using this subdomain here, very nice.

So now our server is ready to host mail with. In the next lecture we are going to upload mail with our server and start the installation process. Stay tuned and follow up with me.
