So now on the section on detoxification and re mineralization. So why do we need to detoxify? Well, these days we are taking onboard a lot of toxins. We're taking a lot of toxins day in day out, not just for foods but from our environments, from things like electromagnetic radiation from our mobile phones. We've also got within our environments these days, the cleaning materials that people use in plugins that people use. scented candles are there's so many different toxins, there's exhaust fumes, there's so many different toxins within our environment on a day to day basis.
Now we were faced with so of course, our liver, our kidneys, our all of our digestive system is trying to fight and break down all these toxins in the body. So good thing for us to do. These days, we advise everybody to be detoxing as much as possible, at least seasonally. So every season, there's an opportunity for us just before the season to change to detox the body for a week, maybe two weeks, taken out, all the toxify is that we're used to simplifying our diet right down. And then this kind of, it's like, you know, they use the term spring clean, isn't it? So before we go into the spring season, the summer season, often when it's an opportunity for us to cleanse and purify our system that bit more.
And in general, before many people used to do fasts at these times, pagans also used to follow these calendars and they used to follow the seasons and get much more in tune than what we are now. So we can do that though. it before. seasonal changes by that simplifying our diets right down to an a nice detox, maybe you can do the fast the juice fast for example, it's a fantastic way of cleaning the system and painted ready for the next season. We spring clean our house and when we spring clean our body is more important actually, first sprinkly nobody might you might find is when you speak in your body, that your house naturally sprinklings in any way because as within so without too full bodies nice and clean internally, then we find that our external environments are also nice and clean. That's what metaphysics teaches us.
As within so without. If we haven't detoxified then our body may not be as well as good at absorbing these essential minerals, vitamins and nutrients that we need. So it's essential actually to detox and once we detox, then we can take on board all of these nutrients that we need because the body will start with the hydrate part. To take on oxygen, if we full of toxins because they can't actually get into the cell because the cell is closed off, then the body will naturally build up like a plaque around the cell, which prevent the nutrients getting in and getting out to the cells. The cell factory isn't breathing properly. It's not just this by respiring properly.
And of course it is. Every living organism does respiration. But if, if we're not doing that on a cellular level, then our SOS also gonna present itself externally and on the macrocosm of the body as well in the microcosm of the self is doing that, then on the microcosm of the body is also going to present itself has been closed off disconnected because the cell is disconnected. So once we detox, we get rid of that plaque and things are loaded into the cell and now to the cell. There now exchanges happen again and we will also start to feel more connected. Did you find with people that have got chronic illness, sometimes you'll find that they really start to go into themselves.
And it's almost as if they go, they start to go into a cave or you know, they don't want to communicate so much to the outside world, and they haven't been. Bam got many relationships, you may find that with people who've got chronic illness because internally, the sales have started to close up. And while that, externally their environment is exactly the same, so as we start to clean that up, they will allow in the light, the air, the oxygen and the nutrients to go in and out, as it's supposed to buy as nature intended. ways we can improve that is by going on walks, if we're in nature, whereby trees, of course, when we're going on walks, we're creating up movement, and that movement in itself helps the limb further helps everything to start moving again, and it helps the detoxification process. Deep breathing is a fantastic way of doing it.
You try deep breathing, even try 10 breaths initially present very deeply into the stomach and then exit and you may find you get lightheaded if you do initially because the body is not used to having that much oxygen. So when we're walking, were improving our walk in or even that some light excellent jog in your gear, things like that can help us to get more oxygen into the cells in the system. Using outdoor Springs is a great way of doing that if you if you've ever tried spring water fresh from the spring is very oxygenated. And it can give you a high Yama sort of bent especially if you're sensitive to foods like that. And then it's things like cold showers and of course sunlight because we all need vitamin D to help us along cold showers. There will be a section later on where my wife will be talking about naturopathic techniques and she talks about hot and cold showers.
But if we're using cold showers in particular in the morning. This can help our body because everything starts to contract and goes closer into the organs. And then as the body then starts to warm itself up, then everything starts to come back to the surface again. But in that process, it helps to eradicate things like toxins. Because imagine the opening and closing if we're opening and closing our arteries in our veins, then this is helping to pump the blood around our system sometimes to places that they have, it hasn't got to enter. So those are some little tips that we can do to help get the oxygen nutrients into the places that need that needs to get by detoxify first and prepare nobody for that then our absorption is going to be much better.
