Groin strikes in the closed guard&nbsp;
The high closed guard can allow your opponent strong body control over you placing you in a highly vulnerable position. If you maintain proper upright body position, the opponent&rsquo;s groin is open to strikes.

&ldquo;Posture up&rdquo; and rudely jam your knee into your opponent&rsquo;s tail bone. This can be a debilitating strike in itself and a counter against your opponent&rsquo;s attempt to control you with his legs.
Strike your opponent&rsquo;s groin using short straight punches, hammerfists, and vertical elbows. Do not let an arm dangle as he could snare it and break with an armbar.
Continue pretzel combatives as necessary.

Eye gouges if opponent pulls you into his closed guard&nbsp;

If your opponent successfully breaks your posture and clinches your head, use thumb gouges to the eyes to disengage...
