DESCRIPTION: Firearm defenses: Frontal defense #2 (brown belt)
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
This defense redirects the gun and simultaneously removes the firearm from the assailant&rsquo;s grip. The assailant may use frontal defense #2 if defense #1 would redirect the line of fire toward a bystander or to counter the combined strength of a two-handed handgun grip.
The handgun is once again in the assailant&rsquo;s right hand or could be in both hands. Note again, it does not matter if the assailant has one or two hands grasping the handgun. This defense redirects the firearm in the opposite direction that you learned with frontal defense #1. This defense might be used for two reasons. You may simply feel more comfortable with it or you might be with a companion who would be in the line of fire of frontal defense #1&rsquo;s redirection.
