Side fall break into the foreleg brace position
If an attacker succeeds in taking you down, you must fall both tactically and strategically to avoid injury and to not allow the attacker further opportunities to injure you. The side fall break prepares you to fall on your side. The foreleg brace position and its variations are some of the most important ground tactics in krav maga you will learn.

As you recognize you will be taken down, prepare your body to fall on your side.
As covered previously, for the side fall break, you must slap the ground with the arm closest to the ground, using the same slapping motion as the rear fall break.
As you fall, elevate the same-side leg (closest to the ground) to avoid your knee crashing the ground. Immediately attack the attacker using an eye gouge or other combative to the attacker&rsquo;s head.
