People, we always try to read your motivation and gravitas. the right kind of gravitas comes from people seeing you as a good person. This is not sufficient, but it is necessary. People must see you as open and honest and kind and caring. They mustn't see you as selfish or self serving in any way. motivations directed towards yourself will kill any sense of gravitas that you might want.

People must see your motives as generous. So Focus on the interests of the people around you, of your society and of your community. And always seek to take the long view and do what's right for the long term. Rather than seeking out short term expediency. Be generous with your attention to other people give recognition for their achievements, and their contributions and be lavish in your praise for other people's successes. Self orientation is the enemy of gravitas.

When we sense gravitas in other people, we sense that their interests go well beyond themselves.
