So welcome to the course. In this first lecture, I'm going to tell you all about Canva and show you that you can create free professional album cover designs in this software now Canva is an online software that you can use, like I said, you create free album covers. Okay, so that means if you're a musician, it means you hear hip hop artists, recording artists, pop artists, singer, rapper, producer, songwriter, composer, and you want to put your music out in album format, even as a single on iTunes, Amazon, CD, baby, you know, any anything like that, then this is a great resource for you. Okay, so what you're going to do is go online to Google and type canvass spell CA, in VA. And as you can see, it's gonna pull right up here The tagline says it all. It's an amazingly simple graphic design software. And it truly is what it states it is.

So let's go ahead and sign up. All you got to do is click right here. And as you can see, to get started designing, you either need your Facebook account, Google Plus account or you can use your email and password. Okay. So if you have a site Facebook account and you're already logged into your Facebook account, you just click there and it will take you right in and sign up from there. Same thing with your Google Plus, or like I said, you can put your email in.

Now after you log in and sign up, this is what you're going to see. Okay, you're going to see a place where you can create a design. You can use custom dimensions, or you can use some templates here. All right, now what you want to do is use a template. So if you click on More, this plus sign right here and scroll down to where you see blogging and ebooks. You're going to see an album cover design template, click there.
