In this video lecture, we're going to cover how to upload and edit images in Canva. Now, let's say that you want to have a lion on your album cover, you can come over here to upload and type lion in, and then click on Upload, or just post inner actually, and in all of the images that have liance within the software will come up. Now, as you can see, there are many more lines that you have to pay for it than free. So this might not be the best resource for you. Or it might be if you don't mind spending the money like this is a pretty good or pretty cool design right here. Like this would be actually awesome as an album cover right here alone.

You just put some words in here, okay, but you have to pay the dollar in order to use this. Okay, but let's say you don't want to do that. Let's say you want to upload your own photos, say from a site Like pixel, like we discussed in a previous lecture, we'll just go to pixlr.com and select the photo that you do a search. So let's do lion and pixel. Click the Search button. and say if you want it to be more of a vector looking line, you can go over here to vector graphics, or vice versa.

Okay. So I like this guy right here. Let's click on him. And you see that it's free for commercial use, click on free download and get a larger scaled line, you want to do the larger one because when you shrink them, you'll still have a lot of quality or vice versa if you need to make them bigger. So click on download, it's going to download and very go. So now what I do is I click right here, click on the line, and I move this to my desktop so I can easily find it, just like that.

Then what you do is you'll come back to your channel Have a program here and go to uploads. Now what you want to do is look at this green button and push upload your own images. And if you already have it selected, go to the desktop or you look for the desktop, you can just click on the image right here. And it's now going to upload. Now, as you can see right here, this is grayed out. Now when this turns green, you notice your image is ready.

So all you have to do is click on it, double click on it, or just click on it once actually. And the image is now going to be right here in your workspace window to use. Now, it's very simple to edit this. If you click right here, this box is going to pull up you can add filters. Okay, where you can affect the brightness. Okay, you can affect the contrast.

You can go to Advanced Options. There's also a options right here. Add a different tint or color to them. You can actually make it more blurred or you can make it a little bit more finer. This is something that you can add to it to to effect the colors. All right, there's several different days you can do.

Now, also, if you click on the little arrow button, you can flip it horizontally, vertically or horizontally and you can also blend it into the back of the background as well. Okay, so this is how you edit. One last thing here is you can size it by doing this clicking on the little circle, bringing it left to right or up or down. And you can also maneuver it like this however you want to. Now when you place your design with on the canvas Okay, you want to keep in mind your words where you want, where do you want your words to be if you want your words to be right here, you might want to bring this down a little bit. If you want this to be centered and you have some words right here, that's fine or if you want this to be right here, and it has some words right here, maybe add some trees or different other things here.
