This video lecture we're going to cover how to add elements to enhance the quality of your album cover design. Now, before we go into this, I want to highlight a specific principle, which is simplicity. Now if you look at this album cover so far, it actually looks pretty done, it's pretty finished, there's not much more that needs to be added to it. So you want to keep that in mind that when something looks pretty much done, leave it alone. Okay, but for the purposes of just showing you how to work the program, we're going to still look and see if there's maybe one little thing that we can add it here in the elements. Okay.
Now, first thing I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna go ahead and take this down a little bit actually looks perfect. It was perfect how it was. So anyway, so basically, what you're going to do is you want to look for different elements that you can add into this here. If you click over here on the far left, tab that says elements you Select out of these nine different things here. You can put a Canva I love Kava charts, photos, icons, illustrations, lines, shapes, etc. Okay.
Honestly, I'm probably going for this particular album cover, I'm probably looking into the frames, the shapes or the lines. I don't want any other pictures on here I feel like it will actually take away from the beauty of this is in its simplest form. So let's just check this out. Let's look at some frames. And as you can see here, there's different things you can do. Now, this is some of the cooler aspects of things I like.
For instance, let's take a look at this, this this right here. If I wanted to, I could come over here. And I could add this line to that frame right here. And now the line is in this design right here. Okay. vice versa, let's let's go let's try this one.
If we added say, this picture right here, there and we added you know, you could add text right here, change the color right here. And you can add text right there is this little little elements that you can use to enhance the quality of the project here you and there's several ones that you could use here that do that where you can add upload a photo within this. Okay, and this gives different effects. Again, for this particular design. I will keep it simple. I'm more so probably going to stick to say a line.
Okay, maybe adding to some one type of line here just to add some flair to it. But you could tell This and you can add that on on the bottom a little pop right here. Change the color. Okay, and you've also affect the transparency. There's a lot of different things you could do to be creative. You can change the size, how long it is, how short it is.
You could even put this up here and now all of a sudden you have a different type of album design. Okay, I don't particularly think that we need to add too much more to this because sometimes when you add too much, you end up messing up your album cover. All right, but you could do something like this. Where is this just a little something something little that that can kind of enhance the album. Just a little bit more, you see how this that simple little design possibly can enhance it, you might like it better the other way. And so what I could do too is I could take this and I can copy it.
And I could do the same effect over here. So now you have this effect right here that you created on your own. And it is this something little to make the album pop out a little bit more. Okay, and so this, these are things that based on your own creativity, your own trial and error that you can play around here with, okay. say if you wanted to do another illustration, or even just to say a shape, they have circles, they have squares, they have a lot of different days that you can, you can get and use. Within here.
You can also search for shapes, different things like that. I'm going to show you you know, you could take this Okay, you can make this a little bigger and, and let's let's show you this here. Now you remember what I was talking about before how you can me to put this in the front or back, I could click on this and I could push back and now this circles behind the king of the jungle if I push back again the lion is in the center of the circle. Okay now me personally I don't like that but if this is something that you could do to add add a different dimension to it or a different type of look to it. You could change you know, the color. Keep on messing with that until you find what you like.
But I found is the simplest things work the best. Okay, so I'm gonna take this out of here. I just wanted to show you how you can add add Some, some different elements to your design here to make it look a little bit better. Okay if you have any questions please let me know
