Continuing our journey of developing a better understanding of this concept of success, I would like to share another definition as we examine the acronym success.
Success can be defined as, “the accomplishment of predetermined and/or emerging, worthwhile, meaningful goals”. This definition connects well with the first letter S sense of vision. The S also refers to Self-direction, a core competency to be developed that contributes significantly to one’s success. As a leader, the ability to communicate a Shared vision to those on your team is a critical ability. In a personal relationship, it is important to be able to develop a shared vision of success for both the relationship and the individual. What these all have in common is the ability to think through what is important to you and others around you to achieve over time. Ask these important questions:
