Snacking and weight loss. snacking may actually be hurting you. I'd like to tell you this. I know it's the big rage. Everybody wants us to snack snacking is good and keeps your metabolism going and helps you burn fat and all this fun stuff. The average American male carries five pounds of putrid half digested red meat and five pounds of foul toxic waste in the folds of their colon.

Isn't that delicious? Don't you love No. Love it that actually came from a book that wasn't mine. Clever. That has been impacted for years. Now the sad part is when I worked for a pediatric gastroenterologist, we've had toddlers that had this problem.

Toddlers with fecal impaction that's really sad. There's not a lot of fiber going into a toddler to keep their feces from being impacted and dry. excess mucus in the intestines protects it from absorbing toxins that leaky gut syndrome. This excess mucus is constantly needed for our poor diets and is never fully expelled so it hardens like plaque on your teeth plaque in your arteries. It's basically the same thing except it's now in your intestines. 95% of Americans are speculated to have hardened mucus in their intestinal tract.

Yeah, that's awesome. Fasting decreases this excess mucus as does colon hydrotherapy or colonic irrigation, though those are if you have questions about those last two things email me I can I can explain it in further detail. It is very good for you but you do have to have someone who's trained to do it. Anybody here fast ever? Yeah. Okay.

Intermittent fasting. Yeah. Okay. I'm a big fan of it. Have it. I did it 20 years ago, fell off the wagon and got back on it a couple of years ago.

And absolutely love it because you start to feel a real difference in the mental aspect. And the even fasting from talking is another form. Like I was thinking that that comparing the two things. You'll be surprised how many times you start to reach for something unconsciously not knowing what you're putting in your mouth or how many times you think about food, you don't you don't become conscious of these things until you kind of step back and fast. And there is obviously in the handouts, I gave you a big section on fasting because I am a huge fan of it. Back to the car analogy again, do you put clean oil in a car that has dirty oil or do they drain it first?

Well, fasting is basically the same thing. You're just letting the body drain out some of the stuff that's in there, before you put other stuff in there. Start with cold feet of fever. I got this really confused until one of the school one of my school books explained it to me. You is or is it Phoenix called Star fever. It's the first.

I'm sorry, it's the second, you starve a fever vehicle. Because when you're running a fever, your body has a high temperature for a reason that high temperature is meant to kill toxins in your body. So it's purposely having you run a high fever that you can hopefully handle while it does its job. Now, if you're feeding your body food, when you have a fever, you're slowing down that entire process because now your body has to stop and go. Just to chip really needs to get rid of this fever. That's why they tell you to starve a fever vehicle.

In just 24 hours of fasting the body ceases enzyme production in the stomach cleansing the body of dangerous microbes dead damaged cells waste and pollutants. That sounds good, doesn't it? That sounds really cool in just 24 hours that can happen. Now, here's the problem. How's that going to happen when you're snacking every couple of hours? It's not because we're going back to the dirty dirty oil analogy where we're just putting more clean oil into a dirty tank and your body never has a chance to actually get rid of it.

To recap from last week, increasing your metabolism, which is what all this snacking is really good for, creates excessive free radicals. Extreme exercise and intake of food, increased metabolism. That's what we talked about doing all these exercises and eating all this food because they want you to increase your metabolism. Extreme intakes of food also mean snacking. Let's be clear about it. If we were to add up the amount of food that we're eating when we're snacking, we'd probably be really surprised to find out how much we're out.

Actually ingesting. Does that include like an apple? Yep. It's just getting. all it's doing is it's dripping glucose into your system constantly. I know that that's the healthy snack.

I did it a long time ago. It's just one hard boiled egg. You're supposed to eat that at 10 o'clock and then you can have a normal lunch and then you have like this tiny little yogurt or something like that. Sometimes it's necessary. What about lawyers? water's fine.

Water is absolutely necessary for life when you're fasting. Obviously you can have water. But sometimes you see that you can have like, tea, black coffee, lemon water. It's up to you. I have coffee and it has my soy creamer in it, because I'm not going to give it up and I do it so regularly probably once or twice a week. Sometimes three times but not usually usually it's like one time maybe to get my body's just used to it.

Herbal teas are good. They'll always tell you. It also if you're doing a fast where you cut out coffee, that peppermint tea may help with headaches, it did help when I was doing it now I just don't give up coffee. Giving up my coffee. You don't want me to you don't want me to. So it is different lemon is always going to be good for you because lemon always cleans out your liver.

They actually there are a lot of people I stand behind that that drinking a lot of water in the morning like have a big glass of water with fresh squeezed lemon in it is excellent for you. Because it just helps wake up your body and cleanse out your liver from what it's been doing while you're sleeping. So just kind of gives you a little boost in the morning. I prefer it warm. I don't Like cold water, but warm water with a little lemon in it is excellent. So yeah, and it's going to be up to you and what you're going to stick to like, especially when you first start fasting, I tell people to kind of do what's necessary to stay within the rules.

But you know, if you gotta move the line a little bit on the rules to make sure that you stay with it, eventually you'll, you'll stick with it consistently and do just water or you know, however you want to do it. Things like that are negligible to me when it comes to fasting. So if you want to fly coffee, yes, if you're a person that can have coffee, again, if your metabolism can't handle coffee, don't have it but then I would say don't have it ever long, fast. So I lose a lot of people with that that whole snacking and fasting thing. They don't want to do it. I get it.

There's a yoga statement that says a yogi eats once a day, a bogey twice a week, three times a day and it takes four men to carry you to the funeral pyre. Very clever. I get it. So basically what they're trying to get you to do is eat less because you don't necessarily need that much food as human beings. We are designed to fast we didn't always have a grocery store accessible to us, I promise. So we're used to going through this fasting cycle and not having food available all the time.

The sad news is all the stuff in mold. We do live in a society confused by trends obsessed with the avoidance of pain sometimes food becomes one of those ways that we avoid it. Our food is owned by the government. society through the medical system is owned by Big Pharma. I know I worked there, insurance system is denied, designed to deny claims. I know I work there too.

And the worst food establishments are located in the highest bar locations I know worked in those two. It's a sad reality that they put a lot of fast food in poverty locations. snacking keeps your body and metabolism in a constant state of work. And it sounds good in theory and they'll tell you it is but it keeps your blood sugar levels always erratic. They never even out because there's constantly food going in. So your blood sugar's all over the map.

You're never burning stored fat as glucose because there's always a fresh supply of glucose coming in. So the keto diet is actually on point with that part. And now the q&a. Any questions for week two? And that's your assignment. Besides you know, yeah, besides the chewing but that's quick.

So continue sleeping for seven hours from last week, go to the produce aisle and pick one new leafy green veggie Yummy, yummy. I don't care what It is just make sure it's new. And then email me once you've chosen it let me know what you think or if you have questions like you get home and go oh my god I was there with this email me and I'll let you know
