I'm sure you remember the last time you have to deliver a project in the next two hours. And because it was something really important, you didn't stop for a minute in those two hours, when deadlines are near, we have a bigger necessity to finish things on time. I have till next Friday to publish an online class I have to finish that essay till tomorrow. I have to clean my room today. All of these deadlines are very powerful.

And make myself more committed to actually accomplishing my goals and tests. Creating deadlines for myself is also one of the reasons why 99% of the times I have everything ready on time.
