This video will cover the principles of development. These principles are proven. There have been many research projects that have proven these principles to be true. And we have seen it in the lives of so many people. The first principle is that we all develop false beliefs. We all have false beliefs about our future ability to grow and develop to what we can accomplish.

We need to be clear about what our potential really is. The next thing is that you can change now as you age your brain does change. However, most limitations in our lives are emotional, and self imposed. So I want to encourage you as I have myself to become a lifelong learner, being too old is a state of mind that needs to be rejected. You Next year, uniquely gifted. Everybody has a unique personality.

We have natural talents and gifts. And we have talents that we have developed over time. And they can be used to achieve our future goals. You need to pursue what's important. This is a basic concept and it's critical. We're going to talk about it throughout the course.

If it's not important to you, you will not do it. So keep that in mind. We need to dream realistically big. Your Dreams are your personal ceiling. If you can dream it and you think you can do it, you can. So move out of your comfort zone but you need to be realistic, not to be unrealistic.

We need to paint a verbal picture of our ideal future state. Now there are things that we obviously cannot accomplish, but we can accomplish far more than we think we can. You need to pursue goals. As a process we've already talked about this. achieving goals is a process and not an event, it will go on the rest of your life. Change takes time and determination, we need to break down our big goals into small steps and we will do that during this life planning process.

Also, you are a hole at integrated person. Now, as you look at a pie, it has wedges, but you do not have wedges. Each of the areas of your life affects all the other areas both positively and negatively. You need to apply what you learn right away. And I'm going to encourage you to do this throughout the course because learning fades, so we need to use things immediately. Learning is only useful if we apply them to the challenges of our life.

This is more than just an academic exercise. It is something that is practical and needs to be applied and we need to establish an accountability To make sure we are applying what we learn. Next we need to publish our plan. writing things down increases the chance of success. But sharing that with with other people, increases your chances even more. So we're going to encourage you to do that, at the end of this course.

You need to pursue success, you will go nowhere unless you take the first steps, starting the journey and believing you can get there. So many people design things and they look great on paper, but they never put them into practice. And I also think that it can be fun and you can enjoy this process. So these are the principles that I wanted to talk about today. It's quite a list. And I think that you will find them important as you go through the life planning process.

They are the foundation of what we're going to be doing. Now again, there's no assignment For this particular video, but I do want you to go back and look at these principles carefully and apply them to your life. The next video will be to identify your roles in life and to determine your primary purpose.
