In this lesson, we're going to talk about what steps you should take this week. You'll find it on page 20 of your workbook. The final step in the life planning process is implementation. Because a plan without action is like a book that's not read, or a car that goes nowhere, implementing your plan by taking action. And the first question to ask is, what will I do this next week? So what steps will you take this week?
Well, I challenge you to look at each goal in each area, focus one at a time and break the goal into smaller steps and determine what you're going to do first, first things first, established doable goals. Each step should be doable. So if you're going to take the next step, you know exactly what you're going to do and do something every day. This is one of the The most important principles you will ever learn. If you want to accomplish something, even something great. You do it by doing something every day.
Some of the most powerful and successful business people and authors in the world. They go by this principle, just do something every day, and then get it scheduled. Whatever motivates you to do something, it's a sticky note on a mirror or a to do list or your calendar, get it scheduled. record everything into your system. So here's some examples. Weekly, I want to take my wife on a date.
I actually have that on my calendar. Now we don't always do it, but it's always there, staring at me every Friday morning. We're going to spend that half day together. Annually I want to take a vacation it's got to get scheduled or won't happen daily. Spend time to think and pray or meditate, read Plan, I work out three times a week, weekly, I want to have lunch with a friend. And so I need to get that scheduled or a won't happen.
And quarterly, I review my finances. These are just a few examples of the things that I do that are scheduled. So in your workbook on page 40, you have a space to write down things you're going to do each week related to each area of focus. And so review your goals for that area and determine the things that you're going to do related to those goals in the next seven days. And then get them scheduled, put them in your calendar, put them on a to do list, put sticky notes up, whatever it takes to get you to do them. This is very important and it's going to take some time, be realistic, that be comprehensive.
Make sure that you're doing everything you need to do in order to pursue your goals this week. Now your life plan is complete. If you have done These things you are far ahead of most folks, the majority of people never do any, anything related to life planning. They don't think about these things. They don't write them down. And the research is clear.
If you do these things, record them and share them with somebody else, and we're going to talk more about that in one of the lessons coming up. You will, your chance of success goes way up. And so congratulations. Keep it up. Do this assignment, and your life plan will be complete. The next lesson, we're going to start talking about the review process and specifically what you should do every week.
