In this lesson, we're going to talk about the weekly review. You'll find it on page 21 of your workbook. There are two important words here. As we look back, we review as we look forward, we renew. Both are important. Here are some thoughts.
Successful people do this. You can think about almost any successful person, you know, and they spend a little bit of time on a weekly basis, thinking back over the previous week to think about how things went, what they accomplished and what they didn't. And then they look forward to what, what's next. What do they need to accomplish in the next week? Doesn't take much time. And please do not skip it.
First of all, looking back, just ask yourself some basic questions. Did I accomplish what I set out to do if not What caused me from doing it? What were the obstacles that I ran into? And if you did accomplish it, celebrate in some way. And remember, the celebrations do not have to be large. Then look ahead.
Look ahead at what's coming over the next week. How does the week look? Is there anything unusual happening that might hinder my progress? Make sure that all important commitments are scheduled that you've identified what you need to do and it's on your calendar or your to do list. And if things are on your calendar in the past, that need to be moved, moved them to a future date. So here is what I recommend.
Find a place to do this. Doesn't matter where it is, but find a place without distractions. spend about an hour maybe less doing this. First of all, review your progress. And then review your 90 day goals in each area. Focus.
Don't rewrite them at this point, just reconnect with them and then make sure everything is scheduled. Everything you need to do is identified. It's on your to do list or your calendar. The next lesson, we're going to talk about what to do on a quarterly basis. The Quarterly Review
