In this lesson, we're going to look at the annual review. You'll find it on page 24 of your workbook. We're now going to round out the review process. This is what I suggest you do each year. We've already talked about each week and each quarter. Traditionally, people take stock at the end of the year and make their new year's resolutions.
The entire plan at this point is going to be reviewed and renewed. There are great benefits to doing an annual review session. We want to evaluate the big picture. Here are my thoughts. This will help you keep on track on a long term basis. This will be a longer session so don't rush it.
And here's what I suggest you do. Find a place again distraction free, and this case you're going to spend maybe a full day. So find a place that you can be alone and and not distracted. Spend time unwinding, and preparing yourself for this process and whatever way however that looks to you, it might be music, it might be reading, meditation or prayer. Then look at the seven life benchmarks again, do a thorough assessment of your life, review and renew your entire life plan. I would go back through everything and make sure that is still accurate.
This would include their areas of focus the big rocks in your life, and and do a thorough assessment of how things have gone this last year. And look ahead to the next year. Do I need to make any changes to the plan, then establish new goals for the next 90 days, just like you've done each quarter. And sometimes they're going to be development objectives, and sometimes they're going to be actions that you need to take. Then get everything scheduled like you've done before in your calendar or to do list and then really commit to this plan. Sometimes we need to periodically just give ourselves a kick in the pants, you know and just commit to what we're doing.
And then get ready to go home. unwind from this process before you re enter into real life. This will take a day for most people, so don't rush the process, it will be valuable to you. Now in the next lesson, we're going to look at three accountability strategies that you can apply to your life to make sure that you're implementing your plan.
