DESCRIPTION: I know from experience that raising grieving children is not an easy thing to do. And I know that thinking differently about our loss is not something that comes easily when we are grieving or when we are trying to support young people who are struggling to cope with the death of a parent or loved one. But I also know that the art of (re)thinking played an integral role in helping my family heal.
First, when we (re)think we allow ourselves to accept our wild emotions no matter which way they swing.
Second, as we (re)think about what it looks like to navigate our emotional ups and downs, we will learn how to hold a space for our kids because these tools let us think differently about the "why" behind our children's behaviors.
