DESCRIPTION: Insight #2: (re)Thinking about the Grieving Process helps us to better understand why we are doing what we are doing while we grieve. And that is critical to building stronger connections with ourselves and our children.
When it comes to losing someone that you love, (re)thinking your loss might feel impossible. But what we often forget when we are in the depths of our despair, trying desperately to grab onto something to help us overcome our loss, is that there are some things in the experience that we can (re)think.
One of those things is what grieving has to look like.
(Re)thinking our grief means recognizing that different people grieve differently and that from our earliest moments, we were being introduced to grief well before we had (or desperately needed) a vocabulary for grieving.
