Welcome to class, and I am excited to bring to shuffle today. Your basic tap steps, that's going to be wonderful because once you get it down, you will be able to use it as a building block for a whole bunch of other steps in the future. So it's one of my favorites, but it's also going to be super beneficial to you as you continue learning more tap. Alright, so all it is, is using my toes, and I'm just gonna brush away from me and then back towards me. And that's gonna be the same time going Front, side or back. So I will go one, out, two in, that's your shuffle.

So out, in, out, in out In, out in, yeah, not too bad, then we're gonna get out of the side. Same concept. When I go to the side, I'm gonna cross my working leg behind my standing leg when I'm coming back in. So I'm gonna go out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, good, then to the back. Same with my toe taps. When I go to the back, I am going to be going on this back diagonal, and I'm going to still be going out of my way into words, and I'm going to be using more of that inner edge than my entire tap shoes.

I'm going to go out, in, out, in, out, in, out in. Okay, that's all that a shuffle is. So we're going to actually go ahead and I'm going to turn around and we'll do it together. We'll do eight shuffles front, eight by eight back, and then we'll switch to our left foot. Okay, so we have pulled to the front, we have one 234567 and eight side 12345678 back 12345678 good other sides to the front we have 12345678 side 12345678 back 12345678 Good, let's try that just a smidgen faster together. You don't have to go in any particular direction you'll go.

Right? I'll try with either. Awesome so you can play around with that yourself. But you can go any speed as long as you're making really clear shuffling sounds that go out away into words. You can go as slow or as fast as you want.
