Hello, my name is Felix Romo dominant Chinese. And now we are going to do can, okay can actually means to look at something. Okay? And do you remember from before, I've told you many, many times throughout the course that Chinese loves to repeat itself, we have Popeye and shisha. And now we actually have Cancun as well. So, if we start by just speaking in English, like using Chinese grammar and Chinese sentence structure, but in English instead, then that would be like, come here and look, look.

Okay. Do you want to come here and taste taste a little bit? Oh, do you want to do you want to come over tonight and watch watch TV and listen, listen, radio, it just sounds a lot nicer. And one of the reasons why we repeat words like this in Chinese is because we don't really have a word to say please, we do. But they don't like to use it too much. So instead of just saying look, they say, look, look, it sounds so much cuter.

If you've ever had the Chinese salesman, or they actually do this in many other countries as well in Asia, where they where you have a salesman here and they walk up to you and they repeat The verb is in by by very cheap, cheap. That is because they do that in their own language. Okay, so can we can say come and that means Look, I like Genghis Khan, look at things can, can, can changes can. That's not always pronounced in Chinese. Either way, it might help you remember the word. Okay?

So come would be to look. Now another wonderful thing about the Chinese language is that we can actually say, how come Okay, so let's break down one that is then it's good and then come so it's good look. So this is quite interesting. This means good looking, or it means handsome or pretty or beautiful. And it's super super nice about this English dislike the only time where English does this but we're almost getting there but then we just gave up or not even halfway through we did one word and then we gave up Chinese has followed through with this so you can have how and then you can add any verb and it means that it's good to Okay, so you can use the word how and then to look and that means good looking. If it's something that is good to the ears, good to listen to.

That means it sounds nice Okay, if it's good to eat, then it's delicious. So English has come up with all of these different words, which you might argue is a bit more eloquent maybe. But in Chinese you just went with Well, why can't we just put together good and then the verb to eat and good together with the verb to go, as in it's a nice road here. It's not very bumpy, or anything like that basically, actually reversing it would be quite interesting as well. If you literally take the word ugly in Chinese, it's difficult to look at. So it gets a bit harsh sometimes I can definitely tell because if you made this by in the course then you're definitely tolerant enough to to to tolerate that as well.

Wonderful. So then we know how come and that means someone is pretty or handsome or, or or beautiful. Now we also know me may from before like from make one as in it's pretty or beautiful. Maybe would be more like, I don't know, gracious. Whereas How can we just be Yeah, pretty good looking something like that. Okay, and the next thing that I want to point out here is that now we've learned another adjective and if we just use adjectives, Don't ever use shirt as in to be, you just remember that we went through that in the beginning of this course at the very beginning.

Then I said if you just say you are pretty good you say nice hon may or Nihon how or you are how come that would be nice outcome. Okay you very How come simply you very good to look at fantastic
