So why is blogging so important? Well, about a year ago, I decided to write an article where I looked at what the real statistics are behind business blogging. Now the problem is, as I say, 73% of all statistics are made up. So I had to dig deep and do some research and and just check the numbers that I was quoting, were accurate and that I checked there. So here's some numbers that may well interest you when it comes to the effectiveness of regular business blogging. Companies with a regular blog have a 46% chance of attracting a paying customer because of a blog generated lead.

So in other words, you have an almost 50% chance of attracting a new lead because they read a blog article of yours. As of 2017 36% of Fortune 500 companies have a public blog. So these aren't the startups or small businesses that we're talking about. These are the companies at the very top. These are the fortune 500 companies and more than one One in three of them, as of 2017 have a public blog. So do you think they see value in that they wouldn't be wasting their time and their money to do that if it wasn't paying off for them, would they?

Furthermore, if you have a regular blog, you can expect to attract 67% more leads than a company who doesn't keep a regular blog. So I think about that you've got you've got competitors out there, and maybe they're doing or they're selling pretty much the same thing that you are. The differences is that you have a regular blog, and they don't. And as a result of that you can expect to attract almost 70% more leads than your competitors. Do you think it's worth doing? According to a recent HubSpot survey, within which there were 1531 respondents, 796 of them reported that they were keeping a regular blog work.

It's interesting though, is the feedback they gave because they reported that regular blogging had increased their website traffic by 55% Who'd love to increase their website traffic by 55%? How do you think that would translate in terms of the leads that you're getting? And in terms of the sales that you are making, it would definitely have a flow on effect, wouldn't it? So as impressive as those statistics are, here's some other benefits of blogging. A regular blog maintains an ongoing dialogue with your potential leads. A regular blog establishes you as the trusted voice of authority in your niche or industry.

And that's so important because in doing so, a regular blog removes one of the biggest obstacles to selling which is trust, the more that your leads trust you the more likely to buy from you. And that still holds true in this day and age where there's so many different platforms out there and so many different possible marketing channels. People still need to trust you, and the more they trust you, the more likely they are to buy from you. On top of that, if you're into Facebook ads, and you're publishing a regular bloke, you've got quality content straight there ready to boost. So as you can see, there's plenty of reasons that as a business owner or a professional, you should be keeping a regular blog. The best thing is, is that you can go and do this yourself.

You can write your own regular blog articles, and you don't need to spend a cent. But there are some problems. First of all, is the matter of time. How long does it take to write a single article, the average time taken in minutes to craft a new blog article is typically around the 200 minute mark. So that's what that's three hours. So that's from brainstorming the article to write it down the first draft to editing it, then quite possibly editing again, editing it even a third time and then finally publishing it, it's going to take you about three hours.

So if you're going to be spending that time you want to do it right, don't you? And then you've got to shedule your time to do it on the regular. In addition to that, is the fact that so many people struggle for ideas. I've taught lots of people and that will convince they didn't know what to write about. And that's what this course is going to teach you. By the end of this, you might just be amazed at what you come out with.

Because there's a formula to doing this so that you never run dry by BS. It's just a case of doing the right preparation work. And that's what I'm about to show you. So let's get straight into it, shall we? Here's some things to remember when you're getting ready to write. Every item of copy that you write it has one objective.

So you want to be clear on what that objective is, before you start writing. You got to do your preparation work first, understand who your audiences or who your market is, and base your write your writing strategy on that. You want to think of your life as an educational story. So your trials and tribulations you file easy successes, they're all lessons to reveal to your followers. And you want to reveal these lessons in a strategic way. You want to use stories that sell.

So take note of what you experienced and what you have experienced. what you've learned, then work out a way to use that in a story that ties into You're selling whatever it is. And that's how you develop an authentic relationship with your game. You're taking stuff from your everyday life, putting it into a story, and then you're tying it into what you're selling. Now, what you need to remember is that no matter how many articles you write, there's a three step process behind them. Number one, story number two segue, and number three, sell.

So you tell the story, and then you segue that into what you're selling. Now, you might not do this in every single article, it may be over a series of articles, but we'll look at that later. But you want to keep that in mind in every article, regardless of whether you're doing a pitch in the article or not. Whether you're doing a promotion or not. You have a story, and then you segue that into what you're selling or what you're teaching. And again, we're going to look at that in later videos, but keep that in mind.

This is the underlying three step process behind writing your regular blog articles. What you want to remember also is to be candid, be human, admit flaws. tell stories that directly relate to your gang that directly relate to your target audience. And strategically reveal about yourself what you want to reveal, in order to establish trust, because people won't trust you until they know who you are. Most of all, be yourself and be proud of it. So all this ties into helping people to have a better understanding of who you are, of what you've learned, and why you are a voice of authority.

Whatever your industry is, remember these things. Think of it like the pursuit of romance, the other person has to like and they have to trust you at the same time in order for them to invest in you. And it's the same with business. They have to like the person that's writing the articles and they have to relate to you and trust you to some degree in order for them to invest in you financially. And it's the same principle here.
