When it comes to planning your project, it's really important for you to plan out which screens you're going to design for that particular project. Because that way you can know how much you can quote to your client if they don't have a fixed budget. And in majority of cases they don't, then you can know how much time should you invest in this project based on the number of screens, and therefore you can know how long the project is going to last. And finally, you can know what type of project do they need? And what type of screens Do you need to design for? So you can know for example, which types of images should you look for if the client requested you to find images like it is for our project in this class?

And finally, you can know for example, which types of fonts should you use and does the project contain dashboards for example, does it contain shopping does it contain media screens and so on and so forth? So it's really important to plan out your project in advance. And this is not the final stage in the planning process. This is just the beginning, putting some things on a paper just so you can know how long this project is going to last and how many screens you're going to design. So for our particular project, what we have is a home screen to start with. And on the home screen we're going to list a few of the main categories few of the main products, their story and how they design their pieces.

Next we have category screen. So from the home screen, people can go into category screen and they can search by category. Then they have search filters, which they can click and then they can select different types of for example prices, colors, materials, does the clock come in washable, or not? So on and so forth. Next up, we have the room combination, which we can access from the menu, as well as from the home screen. So inside of the room combination, we have the main background image.

And we have the pieces which are used inside of that room. So people can know how those pieces look inside of the room. And they can purchase those pieces directly from there. Next up, we have selected items. So when they select an item from here, from category or from home screen, it will take into selected item. And that selected item is what I talked about in the project brief.

So basically, it's a separate screen showing user majority of information about that particular product. So that screen is going to look basically the same for all of their products. But we are going to use for example a chair or something like that, to present that selected Item. So if they want to adjust it and add it to cart Next up, we move on to selected item adjusted. And you can change these names of these screens as you go along. It really doesn't matter but for this project I chose these names.

So inside of selected item adjusted, they can for example change the color of the product, they can change the size of the product and finally they can add it to cart and when they do we move on to order details where they can review their order details and see how many items they add to cart. They can remove them from cart if they want to, or if they don't want to take in proceed to payment screen. Inside of the payment screen. There will be options for credit card and PayPal and they can edit that of those options from there. And finally, when they click Confirm payment, they can then move on to for example store locations which they can access from menu. And inside of the store locations screen, there will be just a map and you can access the basic information about their store location.

So for example, in which three today are located phone number of that store. And you can also use navigation if you want to drive or walk there to that particular location to browse in person, all of their pieces and to try them out, for example. So basically, that's it for this planning process of our project. And you can change that as much as you want. But this is just the first part and the very start of our project just for us. So we can know how many screens do they need designed.

And just keep in mind that all of this can change. So let me just give you a quick example. So for example, from the payment, we are not going to design edit Section, but it has to be an edit section inside of the payment. But for this first part of the project, we're just going to design payment screen because if in edit, edit can look like, basically default iOS app, it really doesn't matter. But we just want to design this payment screen for now. Also from room combination search filters, and so on.

Every single one of these screens can branch out into five or 10 different screens. It's really up to you and up to client to determine how many functions do they want to include inside of this particular app. In the next video, I'm going to show you inspiration, where you can find inspiration and inspiration pieces I chose for this project, and how you can use that inspiration in your work.
