I cannot tell you how many times I found myself in a meeting with a Physiotherapist, a Doctor before one of Rob's surgeries, or with a school Principal, and asked for some information about his history going back sometimes many years. Even today, after all these years, I still find a regular need to look back on incidents that have shaped his medical and physical health. When dealing with funding applications for equipment and repairs, I find myself searching for phone numbers, Company names, or information about how long it has been since a particular piece of equipment was purchased. I can barely remember where paperwork has been stored over the years, especially as several residential moves have seen me store things in boxes I can no longer find. We all know the feeling. There are easier ways if you know how to start.

This module will discuss:

  • Why do you need to keep relevant records?
  • What records to keep.
  • When to ask for assessments.
  • What to take to meetings about future funding or therapy.
  • What written information you should request from service providers.
  • Extra information you should keep from your own research.
  • Putting it together in a way that is easy for you to handle.

Go from confused to concise.
