All right. That's a lot of things we covered. A lot of things you're going to have to practice. That's right. You're going to have to practice, practice, practice. Go online, take coding challenges.
Sign up for practice the interviews online, talk to a friend, get them to interview you. interview them. Write small programs, just practice, practice, practice everything we said, you have to practice on day of your interview. Also, don't go in cold. Make sure that you've done a little bit of practice beforehand and you're in the right mindset for the interview. Keep in mind, it's also a competition.
You're not just there to prove your worth. You're actually competing as other people. The competition is why it's important to practice so many things you want to stand out. But at the same time, don't worry about it. If you fail interview, it's going to happen. There's like a million candidates For every job, you're not going to fit the style of every company, you're not going to be what they want, you may work differently.
You may have the wrong understanding the question, you may have a little bit of bad luck, the interviewer may not be well trained, there are a million things that can go wrong. Just don't take it personally. Don't read too much into the interview. Don't attempt to understand how well you did just do the interview. Go home and be happy that you made it through the interview in one piece. Be positive, and be friendly.
Go in with a charming smile, go in on your best attitude because rule number one of interviewing is if somebody doesn't like you, they're not going to work with you. It doesn't matter how well you solve the coding question. If people don't like you on that day, you will not get the job. And this is why it's very important to understand what they're looking for. Are they looking for a job chat, are they looking for fierce solutions, there's a whole number of things, you have to read their body language. And you have to be polite the whole time is really that sort of overriding rule.
Be a pleasant person guards of what it is. Be a pleasant, humble, nice person to work with. Show them that you can be part of a team. And then there's somebody who really want to work with. If you don't pass an interview, oh, well, there always be more. Consider every single one of them practice for the next one.
You will eventually get this keep going to the items that give you practice, practice, practice. And you'll get better of all of this, not just the interviewing, but the actual programming itself. This whole process does prepare you for interviews, but it also makes you a better programmer. Thanks for watching this class.
