DESCRIPTION: The Cheating Game Three friends, Ayla, Benson and Celena sit in a row and are playing the card game ‘Cheat’. Benson is new to the game so he’s always telling the truth. Ayla sometimes tells the truth while Celena always lies. The variation of ‘Cheat’ they are playing is with a full deck of (54) cards including two jokers. Each player is dealt the same number of cards and the jokers are wild cards, which means they can be anything. The aim of the game is to get rid of all the cards in your hand. Here’s how the game is played: The person with diamond three starts the game and places one to four cards face down and announces the number and the rank of the cards (suit does not matter) – eg. “three kings” or “pair fives” The order of play is from left to right and the next person has two options. The first option is to play one to four cards of the same rank. The second option is to call ‘Cheat’ and if any of the cards played by the previous player is not what they are claimed to be,...
