Let's go over the important mindset for selling online. Let it go. I bet you own lots and lots of stuff you haven't touched in a long time, and that you'll never use. Let's sell it. Try something new. You may not have any experience in selling, that's okay.

We all have to begin somewhere. You may be heading into a brand new territory, that's fine. You might find selling fun, challenging and rewarding. Take a chance, as they say nothing ventured, nothing gained. Selling is not without risk. But we can limit the financial risks with free listings available to sellers on eBay.

I'll show you all about it in upcoming lessons. Set a goal. How many things do you want to sell How much money would you like to make? Let's start slowly and build up. How about listing just one item a day, or possibly trying to sell 10 items during the month. We can always ramp it up.

But let's set some realistic goals. We want success. So take it easy and not put pressure on yourself. learning curve, you may be learning some new skills. Maybe shipping has never been your thing. Or you haven't taken great photos in the past.

Or you're not very comfortable with the computer. No worries, it will take a little time. And with some practice, you'll get it. I promise. Be persistent. Don't give up.

You can do this. Let's make a plan for action. Be consistent. Listing takes practice. Do a little at a time, but stick with a schedule and keep on listing. One of my favorite lines from the Disney movie Finding Nemo is from Ellen DeGeneres, his character Dory.

Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Be positive. You're gonna have some good days, maybe some bad days, but you are trying that counts for something. Remember, if it doesn't sell, you can always donate your item, but stay positive. The best way to learn to sell is to put your buyers hat on.

Do you like free shipping when you buy online? That might be something to consider as an eBay seller. Do you like the way a certain package arrives? Take note and that could be something you can do as an eBay seller. The best buyers make great sellers Be unattached. If you haven't truly let go of your items or care too much about them, they will cause you to have possible grief if you don't get the right price that you were hoping for.

Remember the first slide, let it go. There's a type of karma when you don't care itself and when you care too much it won't. If you have too much sentimental value placed on an item, it can be hard to sell. Put it aside and let's find some items you don't care about. learn from mistakes. I have made many mistakes through my eBay career.

I've sent the wrong item to a buyer. I've charged too little for shipping. I've even had the wrong photos in the description. All little things that I learned from people and the customers are very understanding and know that mistakes do happen most often those mistakes don't happen again because we are aware of them. Mistakes do happen to all of us and it is part of the game. No analysis paralysis in order to move forward, we can study and study and take course after course and do research all the time, but we have to let go at some point and press the Publish listing button.

The good news is that we can always revise or even end the listing if we find errors. The difficult part is that first listing, I'll show you an easy way to begin and I promise it won't be that tough.
