Welcome, everyone. So today we'll be starting with some numeric functions on Python. So let's start with the basic one, print one. So we have used print numerous times, a lot of times now you're very familiar with print function. So print, in this print statement, I'll perform a mathematical operation. So three plus eight and performing, so just run it and you'll get the total 11.

So now here I've used only two digits. Now I'll use few more digits. So within this print function, I'll write three plus 36 plus 34 plus 35, plus 98, plus 21 plus 25, plus one plus two plus three plus six. So in this way, I've written a lot of numbers and just run it and you'll get the result. So it gives you 291 as a total. Now, let us move on to the critical one, a bit fluffy political.

So within this print function, I write three multiplied by Again, give a bracket for plus fun. No, can you tell me what the first function it will do whether it will first sum it up or what it will do. So it's a basic mathematic operation, we all know that it will first sum this four plus five, and then it will multiply it with three. So four for four plus five is equal to nine, and nine multiplied by three will be equal to 27. So run it and you got it. 27 perfect.

So now here I write, my num is equal to six, and then I want to use a new function. So right brain, then within this sprint right str, then within this str, right, my num, my num is the variable that I've created for store nine, m is equal to six and now given a plus sign, and within this code, right, my favorite number Number No, Ronnie, what did you will get? It will show you six mine February number. So it's basically what it is doing is it's converting this six to us train, then it is concatenating with my favorite number. Now if you just provide a space over here, then there will be a space. So C six my favorite number.

Now if you don't perform this, if you don't write a car over here, then what will happen, so just copy it and I'll show you something. So here I will just write not str without using str function and write mine now. Then, plus this quote it will show it will give an error because this is an integer six is an integer and I'm using an arithmetic operation with a string This cannot be done. So first I have to convert this number to a string and then I'm concatenating this string with this my favorite number string, this plus sign for a string always used as a concatenation operator. So you have learned how to convert a number to a string now my num one is equal to minus six, okay, now, if you want to get the absolute value of six, you have to use a function called print and within this print right, a b s, this is the function for getting the absolute value and within this right, my num so run it.

See you got six so it returned you the absolute value of them. Number Now, suppose you want to get the result of three square. So, what you can do is write print POW is a short form of power, then within this write three comma two. So, what it will do which value is which one So, which one is the power and which one is the real value three is the integer and two here is used as the power So, three to the power two or three square it will return you nine see it returned nine to three square is equal to nine. So, three is the number and two here is the power value. So, if you change this to two three, then what you you will get, you will get 27 So, three to the power three is 27 that is three Q is equal to 27.

Now, if you want to get the maximum value from Few values. So max three comma two comma four comma five. So it will give you the maximum then so the number of I have provided here, among this phone number five is the maximum once we return five, so beat any number of values, it will return in the maximum. Now, if you want to round off a value, sometimes we use decimal values and you want to get a round of value. So for that you have to use a function called round. So right print and here's right round and right suppose 3.9 for anything investment value can get so just run it and you get four so we round off to the nearest integer.

Now here I am providing the value but you can use any variable suppose there is a variable which contains our set of values and you want to round up the value. So here I'm providing externally the numbers there. You can just write the variable name. So I'm showing you an example. So, suppose num is equal to suppose 7.3698 is a value, now, you want to change or round of this value, so round and within this round mentioned the variable name now and test run it, so, it will convert it to the nearest integer. Now, see, here, it converted to the lower integer because it is near to the seven, but in the previous example, it converted to the upper integer.

So, it was 3.9456 So, it converted to four, but here it is 7.3698. So, when converted to seven, so, the nearest round integer it will convert it to the nearest integer then let us import a package. So, from MAC input stop Run it. So I've run and then I'll use a new function called flow. So, print flow here all right 3.9 run it. So, it will return three flow means it will return the lower value that is, it will always return the integer portion of the value or the lower integer it will return.

Now, if you use no if you use print and the seal function is E I seal function and you write 11.89 then what it will return it will return I think well see, perfect it returned 12. So, seal will always return the upper value, which is an upward integer Well, there is a next next integer is always written the next integer and the flow laws written the Previous one so print here I'll use a new function is key word key that is the square root. So square root of nine, say I'm using three to return three it should return three. So it return three See, the square root is a Sq RT is a function which will return the square root value of a number. And suppose here use the same function again, and within the sale function and writing determine what it will return and return me it will return the value itself because there is nothing to round a sale or nothing to float over here, because I'm providing an integer, this sale function, this float function always work on the decimal values, not on the integer values.

So these are the few numerical function that I've shown you here. So see you in the next video. Till then keep practicing. Thank you.
