DESCRIPTION: Staying true to Savile Row, I demonstrated how to sew in the hip pockets while trimming to the pocket bag throughout the process. Trouser makers would actually sew the whole pocket while sitting at the machine. This is how I learned to make the whole pocket, picking out a cut cloth from the ‘fit up’ to use for my pocket facings. The only step allowed to be done on the pressing table was the turning of the facing edge. There was no time for the under-pressing (which I demonstrated here).
