Hello students and parents My name is Rohit Kuchar. I'm an IIT Kanpur alumnus. And now I work as a success coach. I get this question quite often from students that I'm not able to do simple questions and not able to do j mains or niche level questions and not able to do j advanced level questions, what should I do in such a case? So in this video, I will walk you through the strategy that you should apply, if you are not able to solve the question in first go. Suppose you spent 510 1520 minutes while solving a question, but unfortunately, you're not able to solve it.

So what to do next? So leave that question at that moment, but come back to it after four or five hours in the same day. So that would be your second track. Now again, spend 510 15 minutes on it. What happens is that most of the times question gets solved second time, when you retried on the same day after four or five hours. Now, if you're not able to do then again leave it at that point of time and try it the next day.

So this we will call as the third track. So again, spend 510 15 minutes of whatever time you have even 30 seconds, one minute, two minutes, whatever time you have just read the question once again and try to solve in your mind if you don't have much time, but do give it a third try next day. So again, most of the questions which you are not able to solve in the second try, you are able to solve in the third try. Now why, why I'm emphasizing that you should try three times before asking the doubt from your teacher or a friend or looking at the solution. So when you try for the first time and you spent 1015 minutes what happens is that when a human being is not able to achieve something dissatisfaction starts arising in the mind. And as a result a bit of heat starts generating.

So it's best to leave the question at that point of time. But after four or five hours, your mind becomes cool. And you again give it a fresh try. So there is a possibility that 10 iF 10 questions you were not able to do in the first try. It is possible that four or five out of those 10 questions you are able to solve in the second time because you are starting with a fresh mind and your mind is now more much more cooler. Now if you're not able to do the question that I'm leaving it in the next try, you will try it again.

Now again next day, your mind is much much cooler and itself fresh start. So if five questions were left after a second try again one or two you would be able to do it the third time. And we should try question three times before asking a teacher friend or looking at the solution is because the questions that you are able to To solve yourself at home during problem solving time, only those questions you are able to solve in your mock exams and finally a mainstay advanced meter Ames exam. Always remember this fact the questions that you are able to do yourself at home by problem solving only those questions translates into your final j means stay advanced need or aims correct questions. I hope you will start applying this retry strategy from now onwards and will benefit significantly from it.
