Hello, everyone, Rebecca Schiavo. Welcome to class number four of the six week class or six lesson class, empower yourself today and make your life a heaven, I hope by now. And as we get into class number four, that you really get my meaning behind how I named this course empowered yourself today. All of these powers can be applied today, in this moment, to help you begin to access the personal power of who you are, and create your life as a heaven. So welcome to class number four. And I just want to say that the class is going along with the book you can make it heaven and I hope you have been reading in the book along with that.

The course or maybe you've been skipping around, we're actually going to be taking a look at the book in particular part of the book today in class number four, because it really goes along with what the personal power is in, in this particular lesson, so let me start by sharing my screen here. Okay. So here we go. Well, let's start with a centering in the light meditation once again, I hope you have been using this meditation, maybe it's along with other another meditation that you use because one of the one of the keys to empowering ourselves is beginning to know ourselves beyond our physical body, and to tap into the true power of who we are. Which is the Divine reality, or, in this particular course, I'm calling it the light, you could call it the loving, you could call it the universal consciousness, whatever you want to call it, the source of who you are.

So that is actually one of the keys in personal power empowerment. And that's why we want to start off each class with it. So every time you practice this, every time you get more in touch with what this is beginning to experience it perhaps, or see it or sense it or simply intended, the more that it will be able to inform you of who you truly are. And that actually goes along with the power for today's class. So let's start with centering in the light. So I'll take my glasses off, so if it's convenient for you.

I hope you've quieted your environment and you can Close your eyes and begin to focus inwardly and with the breath, easy inhalation letting go of all the distractions from the den IE. letting yourself relax. Telling your mind to be quiet. And like this picture here, this image here, begin to see or sense or visualize a beautiful column of light, going all the way up to source, sourcing that light coming down through the physical body and into the center of the earth and then beginning to focus on that life. With the breath, expanding the light as you breathe in and then releasing everything that's not light and expanding the breath and the light as you breathe in and then releasing everything that's not light. Maybe do that a couple more times.

And then if you want to visualize that like going out and expanding beyond the physical body to form a beautiful or above the line I have bubble of light around the physical body. Have it go all the way around the physical body 360 degrees above the head below the feet. And then begin to just allow your awareness to expand out into the light around you see if you can see or sense or feel the texture, the temperature of that light. Yeah, it's an individual experience. It's individual, to you for you. However you experience them I always feel this pulsating energy all around me.

When I focus on this light, maybe that's something that you experience or maybe it's something completely different. Whatever that is for you. Wonderful. And now when you're ready, you can open your eyes. Okay, I'll drink a little water there. That was great.

All right. So let's take a look at this, this class this course, six personal powers. We have done three so far the personal power of creative visualization or visual visioning, the personal power of letting go the personal power of compassion and today we are doing the purpose. personal power of your true self. Yes, the personal power of your true self. I want to say a few words about this before we get into it, this is a really incredible experience to know your true self.

In fact, I do a whole workshop around this particular part of the journey of who we are. There is, in my opinion, nothing more important in your life than allowing yourself to take the journey and getting to know your true self. It is an experience that is like no other. It is an experience that is everlasting. It will expand you in more ways than anything else you will ever do. It will inform you of the greater reality of who you are.

And it will be an experience that is nothing can shake. Nothing, nothing in the world even though we you can we still continue to have perhaps challenges and things that upset us and fears and things like that the true self is unshakable. So this particular lesson today is not going to be the complete comprehensiveness of what this is, but hopefully it will be a place for you to start because I know for me many years ago when I set off on my journey, to find my true self, to really uncover what that was discovered and begin to live from it. Where do you start? Where do you start? So I hope today will have some pointers in it, we'll have some places for you to start, and perhaps you've already started wonderful.

And maybe today will just be a continuation of that. So let's get into your personal power of your truth. So what is your true self? Now these are going to be a bunch of words. And it's difficult to put words on our true selves. But I've done the best I can kind of like markers along the way, like in this direction, in this direction in this direction.

So your true self is the essence of who you are. Beyond all the roles you play, beyond the mask to wear beyond your personality, ego, your fears, your stories. It's the essence of who you are. it resides in your heaven and as your heaven. A lot of times when we create when we discover our true self, it's always been there. We found our heaven.

A lot of people live from their true self and say that's my heaven. your true self wants expansion, growth and Revelation, it's not interested in limitation. It's not interested in your story. It's into your personal growth, expansion, revelation of the truth of who you are. your true self knows your blessings and sees your gifts. your true self does not know judgment is only unconditionally loving.

Very important, very important. your true self lives in the abundance of who you are enough to limitation and your true self is a good inner guide that can inspire and direct you to live your heaven. Sometimes the true self is called the higher self. Sometimes it's called the soul makes no difference, but it is the greater reality it is the truth of who you are. Your false self is based in your limitations. So the true self is in expansion, and the ending conditional loving and the abundance of who you are the false self is based in your limiting beliefs.

Your limiting beliefs were created by the meaning you assigned to what happened to you or did not happen to you what was said or wasn't said. And again, this is a really important distinction of how our limiting beliefs are created. It's created by our meaning. Now, this is a very big topic, and I actually teach a whole wisdom school around this. So For now, let's maybe just take this information in your false self, we think we will win in our life by playing games, with our self based in our limiting beliefs, and actually, that's what we're going to look at in today's class. And when we begin to stop playing the games, you will allow yourself to meet the part of you, that doesn't have to play games.

It knows the truth, and it loves you in it all. And that is your true self. Okay, so let's talk about the nature of self limitation. You know, this is a term that's thrown around a lot. I know you've heard this before. limiting beliefs, self limitation, you know, how do I limit myself?

What does that what does that really about? Well in the book, you can make it heaven. Let me stop sharing for a moment. Um, you may have noticed that I've sprinkled in some dialogues along the way. And these dialogues are really between what I call the student, which is the human nature. And the teacher, which is our true self, our divine nature.

And I sprinkle these conversations along the way because well, they came first of all right out of my consciousness. They are conversations that were inside of me. And also I did that did it because I wanted you to really see a dialog that can happen. When we ask inside when we say, hey, how do I do this? And how we can be answered. So flipping around, I'm trying to find this.

This one that I want to read to you. And that's the nature of liberation. It's the nature of limits. Which is in the second part of the book. Sorry about this on ahead. Here it is nature of self limitation on page 41 and 42.

If you'd like to follow along with me, I'd really love to read it, because it I think it demonstrates to me one of the revelations about finding our true self and the journey of that. Okay, the nature of self limitations student teacher, please talk to me about self limitation. Part of me is reluctant to explore how I diminish myself. I'm afraid of getting caught in distortions and losing my way. The teacher you cannot get lost when you on the path of self discovery. All such paths lead to the understanding that human experience is a piece of the greater experience that is happening.

Beyond the minds, limited perceptions now want to stop right there, because the mind is one of the biggest creators of our limitations student but it's so easy to believe that this body, this room, this chair, this computer, and the air I'm breathing is all there is. That's a part of me. There's that there's a part of me that stubbornly accepts this reality and no other. Again this is another key, because limitations are based in our five sense reality. And our true self is based in multi dimensional reality. Teacher, I understand.

Yet your awakening is as predictable as the larva that will become a butterfly. The transition from Caterpillar to cocoon to butterfly is a natural unfolding your awakening beyond Self limitation is just as natural. Everything has its divine timing, student will do I have to go through as many stages as the butterfly. Frankly, I'd rather skip that middle one and say I'll pass. I don't want to be in this cocoon right now. Teacher, the cocoon is the butterfly in a real very real sense.

When it is ready and not one second sooner, it breaks open and the butterfly emerges. But it will take time for the butterfly to know the fullness of its experience as a winged creature. Revelation requires many levels of awakening student so if I regard myself limitation as a cocoon stage, then I can trust that when I am fully ready, they will drop away and something new will emerge. Teacher Yes. And remember The part of you that is already the winged butterfly, the spark of Divine Consciousness deep inside you created the potential for your very unfolding student. So, parts of me are becoming a butterfly, while other parts of me are already a butterfly.

And still other parts are something else entirely. Are you saying the caterpillar on some level knows what it is becoming? And then I can know what I am becoming a teacher. The caterpillar becomes what it must. Until then, it is both a butterfly and a butterfly in the making. You will become what you must and awaken consciousness co creating with the divine.

Until then, you are both an awakened co creative consciousness and one in the making. Enjoy the transformation It's all been designed in perfection. Okay, so in other words, the journey of discovering your true self is all about perfect timing, and allowing yourself to walk through all the layers of who you are. So let's talk about where to start. Okay, great. Let me share my screen again.

So we're going to talk about giving up the games. Yes, giving up the games page 81 to 85. What I've listed here are 10 very popular games we play in our life, and what are the beliefs the limiting beliefs that those games are based on? So if you want to turn to the chapter 10 which is the foil Again, playing field, and on page 81 is where I list the games. Now I'm not going to, you know, obviously you want to read this chapter. So you can have a little more understanding about my illustration of the game playing.

I actually use the cartoon wily coyote and the Roadrunner when I talk about this, but on the game on the right hand side, if you look at the screen, the game is or those are the 10 games. Let's get even I'm better than you. There's never enough or I'm never enough, I'm right, you're wrong. Am I okay? I want justice you're out to get me. I don't need anyone Poor me and I can't trust you, which are based on perceptions.

And these are the limiting beliefs which is on the left hand side of the screen win lose superior inferior, too much not enough, etc. So let me just give you an idea. So, let's do number two, I'm better than you, which is based in a limiting belief that we are either better or worse. In other words, this is the comparison game that we do in our life. And we do this out of a limiting belief of lack don't wait. Yeah.

When you really take a look at why would I compare myself to you, or you compare yourself to me or anyone, is because we're taking a look, we're, we're playing a game with ourself, well, well, yeah, I'm, I'm further ahead than that person. And then we look at another person, we go, oh, but I'm not far enough. Like they are, you know, they're way ahead of me. Or we might say, well, there's that person, you know, they're doing really well in their life. How come and then we get into the judgments, don't we? How come I'm not where they are.

And then we look over here and we go, Well, yeah, well, I'm better than they are. So this is a game And it is not based in the truth of who we are. It is based in the limitation of who we are. The fears of who we are. The fear of lack the fear that if we are not measuring up to someone or something outside of ourselves, then we lose. And there how, look how that dovetails to another game.

A lot of times when I work this process in my wisdom school with the students, it's like, you know, someone will say, Well, hey, I for these games just kind of glob together. Yeah, that's the way it is. And so what we want to do is we want to begin to tease these games apart so we can really take a look at what is underneath this game that I'm playing. How do Why am I always playing games with myself? What if I let the games go well, too Let the games go We must also do the process of letting the limiting beliefs go the fears go so in chapter 10 I talked about the game plan I talked about the the the foiled again playing field. You know, that's wily coyote and the Roadrunner.

You know, wily coyote was always foiled again, wasn't he? Even though he thought this time he had it wired? Yeah, games, we always think, Oh, this time, I've got it wired. This time. I'm gonna win this time. I'm gonna feel great about myself.

This time. I'm gonna, you know, not be abandoned. Whatever it is, okay. And then if you look on page 82, it talks about what we must do to give up the game, to move beyond the game, and to begin to live from a whole different place inside of ourselves. Which for me, is the Place of the true self. So let's see what I have here.

Yep. Okay, let's go back for a moment. not quite ready to go there. Okay, so on page 83. There's an example of what who I call Meg. Now, I want to say that all the stories in this book are truth.

I just changed. The names sometimes have changed the SEC, sometimes I change all kinds of things to make sure that people were protected. And so this particular example of her game, she first of all had to look at the limiting judgments about her feelings. Then she had to look at her limiting perceptions. Then she had to look at our limiting beliefs. And then finally, underneath all of it is the fear.

You know what, what's underneath the superior inferior, I'm better than you. What's the fear? Well, could be a lot of things. What comes up for me immediately is, well, I don't have what it takes. I'm not good enough. I have to win, I have to be the best, I have to be perfect.

Perhaps there's what what that fear comes from is some kind of family of origin around perfection. You know, it could be lots of different things. And for each one of us, that's the, say exploration that we need to do for ourselves. So that's how that's an example of giving up the game and then you're going to see on page 85, that you now have an opportunity to move beyond your playing field your foiled again playing field and move on to the bigger playing field, which is more in the true self. It's more in the liberation or the heaven. who you are.

So if you look down, I just want to read through this exercise really quick. So you can kind of see what is involved here. So it says when you're fed up with the foiled again, game results, there's no need to keep playing, and good cause for quitting. So you can say goodbye to the old field by following these four steps. So what you're going to want to do is you're going to want to enter, you're going to want to identify one of the games that you play, okay? And then you're going to want to write down the limitations much like Meg did.

So what judgments about yourself and others support the participation in this game? How do I perceive myself in my world as a result of playing this game? What beliefs does my game playing? encourage? If I let go of the game, what fears might arise? And then it says jot down glimpses you've had of the bigger playing field, you could just substitute the word heaven there, because that's what the bigger playing field is.

And then choose to step onto this larger field. Here you will be welcomed by your new coach your inner Guide, which you could substitute your true self. Okay? So this is really your class practice for this particular power, it's gonna have a little bit more, let's say, uncovering and discovering on your part. It's gonna take you to really be with yourself around the game. And want to say that remember that you have a compassion place.

So that's your personal power number three, so if anything comes up around the game that disturbs you upsets you or you get upset. Have something. Remember, you have a compassion place that you can take this part of you, too. And you and your master spiritual consciousness can be with the part with compassion, which is one of the reasons I did that one before we get to your true self. And I just want to remind you why I've read the dialogue between student and teacher self limitation. A lot of times when we began a journey like this, it can be a little daunting.

It's like, wow, will I ever arrive? And there is no place to arrive to and yet, as we begin to journey as we begin to open up as we begin to shed, that cocoon and everything that we're not, then the true self of who we are. begins to come forward, because it's always been there. And it's just waiting for you to discover it. So your class practice is to keep visualizing your heaven. Practice your compassion place, read chapter 10 and do the exercise on page 85.

So here's our quote. Whatever you can do or dream you can begin it. boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now. So this ends class number four personal power to sell. See you very shortly.
