Delegation is an essential part of management, leadership and supervision. So it's not something to fear to avoid, or to feel guilty about. It's something for you to take on willingly. And it has enormous benefits for you, for your organization, and for your people. And it's a structured process. First, you need to match the task to the person, then you need to brief them well, and secure their commitment.
And once you've got their commitment, you need to monitor and support the person to do an excellent job. And finally, you need to close out that delegation, providing recognition, feedback and praise and reward So good luck. Except I won't say good luck. Because delegation is a structured process. Getting it right, is a matter of good preparation and thoughtful execution. So instead of saying good luck, I'll say I wish you well thanks
