Congratulations on finishing this course. I hope you enjoyed learning the fundamentals of music and playing the guitar. Remember that if you still feel like you haven't got a hold of all the concepts, just continue to revisit them over the next little while mostly focusing on the exercises. And then from there working on any chords, scales riffs that you were struggling with. Typically revisiting something learned over the course of time will help sink in the concept and it will become a lot more natural for you. Also, go back and play through the exercises that you really enjoyed.

See the 12 bar blues jam, and have fun just playing riffs and experimenting with soloing, know where to go from here. If you can, and haven't already, I would try and take some regular private guitar lessons. Now that you are off to a good start, it would be a good way to build upon those concepts and have someone guide you. But either way, I would continue learning songs first and foremost, as they are fun to play and also inherently teach you the fundamentals and beyond of music. But don't forget about learning new scales and chords on their own as well. If you type in the search engine, Beginner Guitar skills or Beginner Guitar Chords, there are good resources out there to help.

It would be good to start learning scales and chords in each position up the fretboard one position at a time. Note that chords in this case higher up the fretboard. Maybe be referred to as triads. So you can also type in triads for guitar. One of the keys to success that I have found very helpful is to learn scales and chords that are particular to a certain key, as well as learn a song in that same key. For example, Pink Floyd's Wish you were here is in the key of G. I will learn the G major pentatonic and G major scales in a couple different positions on the fretboard.

If anything in the first position and in the 12th position. Learn this chords associated with the key of G. Again, type in the search engine Guitar Chords in the key of G. Remember that C and C nine are sometimes used interchangeably. E minor and E minor seven can be used interchangeably as well. Then type in YouTube how to play the intro to the song and or the intro riff slash solo. This will show you how chords are used to create chord structures within songs, and how scales are used to create riff and solo ideas with the scale or scales that are particular to the key The song is then. In this case in the key of G, the best place to start is learning the G major scale is where essentially everything else in the key of G comes from.

Another song in the key of G as john mares gravity, very cool chords used and beautiful soloing. Keep in mind too, that even if a song is in a particular key, sometimes chords are borrowed from other keys to be used as well, which can produce a really neat effect. This happens in gravity. Also, when john mayer soloing, he'll sometimes break out of soloing with the G scale and use the G's blue scale, things to be aware of, and we'll show you what can be done with different scales and so on. So again, the key to success formula for progressively learning the guitar is to learn scales chords, Words and songs. And when learning a song, try to learn the scale and chords associated with the key the song isn't.

Again for the key of G, this would be mostly the G scale, and then learn the key of G chords. There are generally seven different chords in the key. Also, there are 12 keys. So I would start learning the root major scale to each key, for example, the C major scale for the key of C, D major for the key of D, etc. This will then help you learn the minor skills as well, and many other skills. Now, don't worry if you didn't understand all that.

Essentially just keep learning songs and little riffs within the songs and it'll all start to come together. You can also learn scales chords in songs through other websites like guitar jams. Justin guitar music is win guitar gate I'd recommend checking these sites out. Again, thank you so much for choosing this course. I'm truly honored. And I hope and trust it, did you?

Well. I want to give a huge shout out to grant Howarth at audio house.ca who is in charge of all the audio visual production for these videos. If you haven't by chance to live close to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is your man if you wish to record anything musically, or videos in the future. But no matter where you live, he also specializes in mixing and mastering. So wherever you might get recordings done, you can send them over to him for all the post production.

I wish you all the joy in learning the guitar and many rockin awesome experiences ahead. All the best on your musical journey.
