Okay, so here we've reached the final of the five questions before we bring this all together. Now it's the simplest of the more, but probably the most powerful. And the question is, if money were not an issue, what would you be doing with your life? Wow, what a question. So what do we mean here? We mean, do not just envision yourself as a millionaire, living a luxurious life, we really want you to think about if you've had financial freedom, how would you be living your life?
Remember, because we're linking this back to life purpose, and meaning for you, part of your core values, etc. So it has to be intrinsic. We're not basing the decision off of having lots of money. The decision is, if money was not an issue, what would you be doing? There's an amazing quote from the book. Basic Income.
On the very first page, it says that the money that one possesses in life is an instrument of freedom. And that's that one strives to obtain is an instrument of slavery. So it means we're all slaves to money when we don't have it. But it allows us to be free when we do. So this is exactly what we need to think about with this question. And because our majority of us are striving for it, right, we're slave to money.
That is the environment. Most people on earth are striving, striving to obtain money. It's like a battle. It's a race to earn more money. And in many cases, the acts that results in the acceptance of things jobs, relationships, friendships, locations, of which are not that of our dreams, and really Want You To be honest with yourself with this answer, give it really a lot of thought. Write down a long list of things like think about a lot, take some hours if you need to.
This one's really, really important to consider. And it's probably something you've never thought about in this sense. So spend that time with yourself. Give yourself that quality time to answer this question, right? Make a big list. And if you have to review it, and maybe check off or add afterwards, anything, you may have missed all that then you're probably not as relevant.
So think about it. Would you work the same number of hours you do today? If you had monetary freedom? Would you be at the job you're at? Would you live in the city you're in now? Would you be in the relationship you're in now?
Would you hang out with the same people you do? Be honest with yourself. answer these questions. takes really as long as you need for This before we wrap everything up and summarize, moving on to start finding our purpose phase in the next section. Really, we encourage you to answer all five of these questions in the deepest level that you can go back if you need to redo them. You can of course, rewatch this as often as you'd like you can think about it over some days, come back, because this is really going to be defining your purpose in life.
