Okay, so if knowing and understanding your life purpose is so important, why has no one ever told us about this? I have studied for many years, whether it be school, college training seminars, I've never had a full class on knowing and finding your life purpose. Why is that? Well, historically, development of people and what we should aim for what's important in life has been based on the industrial time back in the 1800s. And back then, man's humanity's biggest problem in the world was more scarcity and famine overall. Now, one very good example of this concept is the famous pyramid of needs by Professor Maslow.

He created this pyramid of needs back then based on this this time and what he said is the base of everything before you can do anything else in life is your physiological needs. Now what physiological needs we're talking about a breathe the water you drink the food you eat, to survive, shelter, sleep, clothing etc. Only once you have that can you then have secondly most important thing which is safety is personal security, having a job for example ensuring you have financial security, health, in life, having property having a roof over your head, etc. Only then he puts his third love and belonging. So this is friendship, intimacy, relationships, feeling part of a group connection with other people. He puts fourth on the list self esteem now I find this one really interesting I could talk for hours about self esteem, but to put in a simple term self esteem It's all about respect for yourself, knowing who you are, and being confident in who you are, regardless of your environments.

This is self esteem, he puts this as fourth on the list. And lastly, he puts self actualization. And this is what he calls the desire to become the best version of yourself to live your life purpose. Now, in today's world, this is really no longer the case, our biggest issue in the world is not scarcity, famine and war. Yes, of course, those things still exist in some areas of the world, but it's not the biggest issues we have in the world. Certainly not the same as back in 1800s.

Not at all. So actually in reality today, this pyramid is the other way around. We need to first and foremost, understand who you are, What's your purpose in life where you're going You want to be the best version of yourself you can be before anything else. Only then can you achieve self esteem. self esteem is not something you're born with self esteem is not an easy thing to attain. Self Esteem comes from the confidence of knowing who you are knowing what's your purpose in life, knowing your core values.

Only then can you even begin to love other people. If you don't understand or love yourself. There's no way you can love other people. Self Esteem must come before this allows the third to happen. safety needs and physiological needs. This is no longer the biggest problem we have in the world.

In today's governments today societies, you do have support and help if you lose your job if you lose your house. There is ways that you are supported. It's no longer the case that you see several people starving of blood A food or have sleeping on the street and dying from cold and these things of course there are areas in the world where this is still one of the biggest priorities and problems but not in most cases okay? Therefore, these are a lot more attainable anyway in today's day and age and how we have developed as a society. Now, as as well as this as many other gurus and mentors have said people like Steve Jobs, Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn Simon Sinek what else I mentioned is you you need to love what you do. Okay, you need to love what you do so your work and you need to really be good at it.

Because also in today's competitive environment today we are in a world where there is a lot of opportunity that is a lot of growth we are using our capacity, our brains to to progress this world We've come a long way since the caveman times. In order to to be successful in such a competitive environment, you need to be very good at what it is you love. Now, the two come hand in hand, right? It's not just about being good at what you do. You need to also love what you do. You can be very become or be very good at something you hate.

Also, I used to do this I used to have a job that I was very good at. I progressed immensely, I was promoted I, I got everything most people would like when it comes to that type of success. But I was investing my time and energy into a work that had nothing to do what I cared about what are my core values and what spoke to me as a person. I just learned to do it the best that I could and to be very good at it. But that's not enough. You need to also love what you do because in the end, this will make history Extreme happy if you're really good at something you do not love.

Okay? Another example that supports the fact that this is now the other way around is you found Noah in his book homo Deus you might know he's also the author of Homo sapiens and extremely popular book that is about the history of humanity. Homer dios is about the history of tomorrow. So predicting the current status and also the future of humanity based off our history, very interesting book. And he talks about here and he says some things which I think point this out very well, which is in today's world, more people die today from eating too much than eating too little. Okay.

More people die from old age. So from growing old than from infectious disease is absolutely true with the enhancement and development of many Some antibiotics and several cures for diseases, we no longer have infectious plagues that kill millions and millions of people. This doesn't exist anymore through the evolution we've had. So it's much more common for people to die from old age than infectious disease. Just like it's much more likely for people to be dying from being overweight and overeating because of the sheer amount of food and options we have to eat today, we're spoilt for choice when it comes to food. We're spoiled for choice.

When it comes to what kind of food we want to eat, and it's made for us. We don't have to go and hunt ourselves anymore for several hours to be able to make a meal. So it's no longer the case that the majority of people die from starvation. Yeah, or eating too little. And also, he said that more people commit suicide today than a killed from terrorists. Okay, this is the reality today.

We are no longer having the biggest issue as wars. acity and family this is not our problem anymore, we have a very different world today. So, if no one has ever told us finding our purpose, understanding ourselves knowing who we are knowing our core values is extremely important. Why is it though we still deeply have known and felt this from our hearts because we have which ones are purpose human beings are very drawn to purpose. And one thing that can really prove this, even without saying it or having given, having given this in a formal class, we can see it around us. And that is in how much humankind loves sports.

Okay, sports has the power to transform lives, to change people, to inspire and to move nations to bring people together. It's incredible what sport has done to our planet. Now We're going to watch a simple video which will show you and allow you to feel the energy that sports can bring into our lives. Okay, take those few minutes, watch it and come on back and we'll continue
