Hello, hello JD from Korea journey professional, they to have five days encounter your purpose for curry. Today, we're gonna we're going to discover more about you your values actually, like I said before every client and I told them when they're at the point they're confused and stuck or clueless of the correct direction that's right for them. I would always ask them to start from the start within and from themselves. A lot of the answers lies within yourself. So yes, today is about you, and finding the right careers that from you. Here's a quote that I really like from Maya Angelou.

Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, liking how you do it. I mean, there are many definitions of success. In fact, everyone should have their own definition of success, even for myself. Different point of life, my view of being successful changes. However, today I still really liked this quote. And I believe this is our life's journey and love life lesson to, to like to like ourselves and to truly live out to be the authentic us without harming others.

And exactly what like what she said, liking what you do and how you do it. That is exactly what we're doing for Korea, right? What are you doing for your job? And how are you utilizing your skills and talents? And that's exactly how we choose out Korea. Alright, let's get started.

So first, I want to explore a bit more about you, your desires or who you wanted to be when you were young. So the first one is, if you were to write a short story about the person you wanted to become, throughout the process of growing up, how would you write it Think about what occupations and people that fascinated you or still fencing at you, or you were very fond of, and why. For example, for me to today, one of the person that I really admire, he's actually a TV host. But I like him because he is a storyteller. And me myself. A core passion or talent that I have is telling stories, Mr. way that express things the way that I experience and then I influence others.

So for me, that's why I really admire him as a TV host. And seems young. I always wanted to be in the spotlight. I believe a lot of people do want that, but not many people claim that I do want the right kind of attention, especially when I'm doing what I really enjoy or why I really want to help others source shared information or spread messages across So those are the people or things that I really want it to become more fascinated me and still fascinates me to today. What about you? And don't constrain yourself again, think about things that really made you so happy.

So crazy. You used to have posters up upon the wall and you would imagine if you were him or her, how would you talk? And yeah, just share out, write it down. Second part, how did you make the choices of a current career or occupation? If you are still studying? To part?

Why do you choose your current subject, and consider what made you want to work in the industry that you're interested in? It's funny that there are a lot of interesting choices that we make, especially our current career occupation, a lot of us probably didn't think that thoroughly all we're really confused and kind of know how have things in half don't know. And then we just choose what we do and then just kind of follow the flow or follow the crowd. But it's, it's now a good time to sit down and think about why did you make that choice? Maybe it wasn't your choice. Maybe it was your parents or your surroundings or education or the society told you it's really good to be a dentist or to be an economist or you really wanted to be an artist and you choose to to or you were an art architecture and which is good.

Think about the reason and again, don't what's Past is past that's okay. We're we're just objectively subjectively looking at why you made that choice. And now, since that you already made your choice. What aspects of your career have medic, your expectations when you start out and made you feel fulfilled and second part is in what way it disappointed you This is a question I'm, I'm so always so fascinated to hear my clients answer. And even people are met new friends that make I always ask them, What do you like about your job? And what do you don't like?

And since in this context, obviously you chose based on some expectations, what are they that met your expectations, probably, you probably want to work in a big corporate, you know, that sleek looking glass, Metropolitan buildings. And that didn't met your expectation, or you probably just want it to work to learn to to be in a company that provide training that you can get your hands on two things and then get started have that foundation in the industry. And that's fooling and then at this point, maybe three or four or five years into a role. It's getting a bit boring, because you can pretty much do everything with your eyes closed, maybe maybe not. That it's getting a bit repeated. But repetitive or you just want to grow or learn more in other areas.

And that could be what's disappointing you as well. These are all really good indicators as in what career makes you fulfilled or what definitely propelling you away from not to do and be imaginative you if you were to continue on your current course, your current career paths down the track, what would be the ending be like what's the best kind of ending? What's the best happy ending of your career path? Write a short story of your career. Make it fun, if you want to write, draw, draw, draw, Powerball draw pictures, of stages of your career or just just narrate out as if you're a director of your career, and you're just telling someone else's story. Where would they be like?

Okay, cool. So we Had this three parts, we had a look of your past career choices and your current situations and a little bit sneak peek into your future. Now let's let's delve into your core career values. Like I always mentioned before, there are three key components for a career. We're talking about a career, not just a job for and when you choose a career, they are future opportunities, you're definitely going to grow your job title is going to grow, your pay is going to grow your skills and your fulfillments going to grow. That's what we call Korea.

So a Korea has to be something in a sweet point of three things. So first, you are passionate about their art you're interested in the in it. And secondly, you're utilizing what you're good at. you're utilizing your skills, your talents, and it's it's aligned with your values and that is what We're looking at today. So today, it's actually a very simple a simple breakdown, I guess it may or may not be the most accurate. If you do want to have accurate overlook, there is a professional test that we provide assessment.

And it's going to be generated into an individual report, which is going to break down to much more details because there are a lot of values or some of the values can be too vague. So we do want to break it down to see if it's really the case for you. And for the sake of exercise. If you want you can search online there are a lot of career values just to pick out the ones that's important to you. For the sake of the exercise I did listed out some simple ones below. It's from wants to calm But have a look.

So the way to do it is to on a scale from one to five, with five being most important rank how important this intrinsic value to you. So there are three parts intrinsic values, which are intangible rewards. keep you motivated and engaged at your job. And there are extrinsic values, which is tangible rewards or conditions you find out at work include, including offsetting the occasional policy and earning potentials. These are obviously, they are quite often quite apparent, but the intrinsic may not be. And of course, lifestyle values like I mentioned in day one, we're working so that we can actually actualize our ideal lifestyle.

So lifestyle plays a big part into our career. Or you can just don't look at this, just sit down and think about the questions which I listed below. What are the conditions traits that you consider are absolutely indispensable in your career? What are the things you just would not compromise? You would definitely have it for your career. For a lot of married people or people who have kids.

It's simpler. They need time for their kids, they can't just work overtime all the time everyday after seven or eight, that will be your values. And for other people, maybe they want to have their own time to pursue their other interests. Maybe they're doing some certain sports or like I am studying a became an acting class. So I want time for that. I want a balance for that.

So have a look for you. And also for me, like I mentioned before freedom and autonomy in work, it's very important for me, I can work on the service and I was good at it, but it's not the best condition for me to excel. Another way to look at it. It's always, always look on the flip side, what are the things that you just definitely don't want? Definitely, no, no, it's actually a good point is that a lot of clients came in come to me and telling me very straightforward what they really don't want. However, they probably don't know what they really want.

And then That's a good starting points, knowing what you don't want. It's really good. So yeah, but above these are references more like a checklist you can check on to. However, if you'd be working for some time you should be pretty clear from this question is well, what you like about your job, and we don't like that we don't like about your job, and what you want to have more of in your future job as well. Looking forward to see your result within this this question. Great.

So now we should have a list of things that you definitely don't want. And you definitely want for your future career or for the career path that you are to choose. And then let's look at something interesting about confidence. What does confidence means to you and what kind of feeling of confidence Have you experienced it's very interesting. And the reason I included here is because confidence affects your mindset and your level of finding or you your confidence of seeing that the possible career that contains all these factors is actually possible for you. That's also confidence as well.

Right? So we're going to talk about confidence. What is confidence means to you. For me, it's simple confidence is confidence is a feeling. It's a feeling that you like, how you dress, what you're talking about, how you behave, how you hold yourself, how you're doing your work, and you like the result of your work, all those things. It's basically a feeling that you like yourself.

And so, and the second part of the question is what kind of feeling of confidence Have you experienced before? Looking forward to see that a lot of people haven't actually thought about that before and when I heard they actually realize they weren't really confident in certain circumstances. That's Really good. And what is your support system for Korea in life? As in when you are encountering difficulties or downtime or feeling flat at work? Or at life?

How are you supporting yourself? What who is there to support you? What are there to support you? What are you doing to support yourself? Again, interesting to see your result. Your answer to that?

And what is your self support system? How do you support yourself? How do you normally help yourself to fill the above confident feeling? So when you're not doing well, when you're not not performing the best? When things one life happens? What do you do to get out of it?

Or how do you lift yourself up? There is actually a video to that make about how to handle the stress and pressure at work. And amazingly, that video To my surprise, is one of the most viewed video. And in that I actually mentioned how do you make so feel better? Physically and mentally as well. A lot of times we do have to distinguish what makes us feel good, mentally and physically.

A lot of us maybe just binge watching TV or a TV or Netflix, that's mentally maybe make maybe make us feel good, maybe not. Or maybe just make you feel neutral. However, it's definitely it's probably not physically making you feel good, or feeling confident. So again, think about things I've done before that made you feel better, or lift yourself up when you're not feeling that great. So today, we should have a bunch of information about you now who you want it to be how you're feeling now, in the future. How do you want your career to be what's important for your career, the details of the nitty gritties about what's absolutely indecisive Ansible and what's the definitely no, no?

Also what makes you confident about your work? What makes you confident about yourself? And how do you lift yourself up? And what are your reflections or thoughts from this exercise? And what do you want to change or improve based on that? I'm sure that you've probably already had a lot more realization or thinks that you haven't.

It was it was you were not aware before and now that you you realize that probably you want to do something different, do you looking forward to share that in our group, and I'll see you in the next video.
