DESCRIPTION: This example illustrates how Excel can be used in a traffic network systems to regulate traffic congestion. In dealing with traffic networks, the basic assumption is that the traffic network is composed of junctions and branches just like other models in economics, irrigation, and electricity where total traffic flow into a junction is equal to total traffic flow out of the junction. Based on this, a system of linear equations is deduced and expressed as Excel statements, and a solution computed.
