Hi everybody, this is Debbie dashing girl and welcome to the ultimate visibility formula session do it. session two. And I am super excited to be with you thank you for being on time because we are going to start top of the hour. I want to tell you that the subject is your for today is entitled How to knock knock on the door of shows and get a yes. So Knock knock. Who's there?

Radio interview guests radio interview guests to exactly. I'm here. I'm awesome. Put me on your show. So that's what today is all about. And we're going to be getting you forward more forward even than you were pre work.

Week One, the homework you just did. And now we're going to put the next piece on top of that. We're gonna have a great time today. I'm very, very, very excited about all of this. So first things first, I'm going to share our PowerPoint. Because where I like to start is here.

And here is celebration. So the question that I have for you guys is, what are your wins this week? That was really spectacular for you. And that created difference, something you didn't know you could do. So starting with celebrations who would like to pop in, just unmute yourself. And by the way, I'm going to just tell you very quickly.

So in zoom is actually very, very easy just to you know at. So our screens are different. So for me to teach you a little bit what to do is it's different. So what I see as a host is different than what you see as a participant. But if you look at the bottom of your screen, you'll see everything there everything from you. unmute start video stop video.

And there is a way to even raise your hand. Although in our format, you don't even need to do that. You can just unmute yourself and speak up basically. So there is an unmute at the bottom of your screen just click on it and you will be unmuted and feel free to talk about anything that happened as a result of the class. The Facebook group the assignment That you feel like as a when is a new skill is something you're starting to see as a possibility. Well, I'll go.

So I did attend Toastmasters. The first meeting was this morning. And it was really exciting. It was a good group of people. good feedback positive. And I was really, and I had to speak freely.

So that was really out of my comfort zone. So that was positive. And I was driving to the I had an Uber driver to airport last night and he said, I hope you don't mind but I'm gonna listen to sports. I was a sports all the time. And I said, No, I don't mind. And then we got talking and he was his podcast all the time.

And I said, you do that all day long. He said, yeah. And I said, all about sports. He said, Yeah, I said, Why don't you do that? Like, you know, you obviously have a passion for it when he was a young kid too. He goes, What's he I'd like to do that I just don't know what to do.

So I gave him some of your advice. Like I said, I'm taking a class and, you know, find out which ones you want to go on and try and get on there, you know, and tell them what you want to talk about. And I kind of, so I think you might do it, like, he just never thought of looking at it from that angle, you know, so this class might help somebody else. And I think he asked, he gave me some great input about, you know, where I can go on my next venture. So thank you. Oh, my God, that's so exciting.

That's a lot. A lot Look at you. So first stepping into personal growth, you're being here right you're being in the not knowing, to allow more to be revealed and just trusting A process that you may not even trust that you're doing that anyway, going to Toastmasters, ginormous, I get it. I did three and a half years there myself. And I love the fact that you really taught what you're learning and what you got excited about to somebody else, mostly because that's the best way to learn. Right is to reiterating the information.

So it really gets here. And so clearly you're you're having a heightened awareness and understanding of the material that's exciting to me. And yeah, Cathy's feedbacks, but he in her area of expertise, and both of you overlapping a bit with the corporate in the HR. That was great. And thank you all for posting in the Facebook group and being involved there, putting up some of your work answering other people asking questions. That's really what it's about.

Great place for questions wins accountability. connections, all of that. So let's give something special to Anne. And let's give her a little magic. We'll just give her a high five. All right, so let's just rub our hands together again.

And thank you for doing what you did in high five than high five. Thank you. Awesome. And anybody else want to share a win? jump right in. Yeah, I am.

First of all, I love what you had us do even at the beginning of just looking at our pitches again and reformulating them and it felt so much so much more powerful. So in doing this last homework assignment, it was so empowering especially when you know your your listing talk titles in there. With the three like, subcategories of what that really means, and then you get down to the point where you're talking about your reach, and it's kind of like, wow, who wouldn't want me to be on their podcast? Like, you know what I mean? So, yeah, so I love that. And then, as far as wins, it's just been in putting this together.

I'm kind of creating a new division of my business. And it was I was able to formulate those questions real quick. Is there a cell phone near your computer? For me, for me? Yeah, this just some echoing it's very they know my never echoes. Uh huh.

Is that better? Keep talking. Okay. Um, so yeah, so it was really powerful in even finding the words for this new piece of what it is that I'm creating. So it was great. Thank you.

It's awesome. Beautiful. Yeah, it makes me very Happy I love hearing that you writing that made you realize, wow, horse. I have something to offer. Yeah, worse who wouldn't want to talk to me? I'm an expert.

So let's give Kathy Kathy five, five together and the other end. Thank you. Awesome. Great. Great. Hey, hey.

And anyone else have a weird idea? Hey Laurie. Um, so I really loved the process of the message. So last week I listened to mostly and I found over the week how that really just went deeper for me. And then today I was trying to really connect to why I'm doing everything again, just it's been kind of a wacky few weeks for me. So I was playing that song.

I was playing the song over and over today. And there was this spot where I remembered the sensation and the feeling of why we're doing like what we do and that passion and I it was so great to get out of my head of trying to figure out the right words to say and the right thing to say in the right. homework to do and the right lessons to write down and just was so grateful for the feeling from that song. And, you know, just it kind of reminded me to sometimes get out of my head and feel the words instead of trying to figure them out. Hmm. Well, for somebody like you or others, Others of us who are like you, we are being visceral is everything that's actually our gifts, right?

Are strings able to operate from that place and letting that be the piece that guides you forward the energy that brings you forward and letting the logic fall away but understanding in the connection ration that this is right. Right where I'm headed, and I'm supported by the words to the song that is really cool. And that's a lot of faith and trust in your own process. And thank you so much it it's definitely what you said that visceral feeling for me I've been forgetting that really tripping myself up lately cuz I'm taking a couple of classes on like what to do and how to do it and just feels good. And just so you guys know, I don't know if you guys just heard in the background, my daughter was saying boo. She's She's in the office.

With me today she's in her own chair. So I'll turn off the light here popping in and saying Hi. Good. No, I'm glad. I'm glad you are here with us. And I'm glad Sidney's with us, she's always welcome.

And yeah, thanks. That's, that's tremendous. And also hearing you say that you're currently doing other classes. And this is still allowing you to focus forward. Yeah. Yeah.

Thank you. Let's give Laurie a high five or high 10. In my case, high five. Thank you, Marie. Awesome. Anybody else have a wind that they want to share?

Any other celebrations out there? I'll go, Oh, no. I sound so loud. So I'm booked as you know, Debbie, on the Know your name radio show for me 23rd. So I'm rushing to get all my stuff together, all of your help has certainly helped tremendously, just reading it over and realizing that, okay, this is where I have to be focused and get everything going. So that's just very exciting.

That's a huge stepping outside of my comfort zone thing, which is I'm very excited about though. So here's the beginning. Yeah, that's cool. Because you basically have already done one of your assignments, because coming up, everyone's going to be asked to submit themselves for a show. So you're already there. That's amazing.

Julie's already there. That's amazing. And here's the great news because we have four weeks, easy with a little bit of grace before you're going to go on that show. So between now and then, you'll have all your paperwork together. And that's actually In a way, the easy part because once you do the paperwork, you just basically send out the same thing. You don't have to reinvent the wheel.

The piece that will really be awesome for you is to understand the what to do when you get off. Right. I will absolutely be dealing with that. So you should feel very confident by the time you get on. Ah, you are muted. No worries, but I just close.

Thank you. Yeah, I'm just proud of you for stepping in. Because that's, that's something I'm going to talk about today. But it is about the stepping forward. It is about what Kathy said that like, oh my god who wouldn't want me? And then if you actually think I'm not going to have one of you on and ask you questions about being a plumber, right?

Were you like, well, I don't know the answer to that. Or, you know, being a chef or something that is outside of your area of expertise. I would always Have you on my show to talk about your expertise? So even if you show them, you would absolutely know how to talk about your subject. Now, as you can see, this is what you're going to learn here. How much to speak a little to speak, how to connect.

We'll go through all of that. But you knowing what you know. And we don't, that's always going to be your lead. Excellent. Thank you. All right.

We'll give Renee a high five. Good job. Congratulations. I five. Whoo. Thank you, everyone.

Thank you, and any other celebrations okay. So I'm going to move on to our Go back to our PowerPoint. And just know every week, you'll have an opportunity to share a win and the celebration. You can also do it on Facebook. And I like to start by acknowledging the great stuff you're doing. So yes, this is our session two, this is how to pitch yourself and get it.

Yes. And one of the things we'll be doing today is your press kit will actually be completing it today. Isn't that incredible? So we will finish the press kit. And I have a template for you. It's already waiting for you in your Dropbox folder.

There's nothing you can have to figure out except to drag and drop, but I'm going to go over it so you have a feel for what to put in those places. The other thing is I want to do some role playing around Being an interview guest, so you have a feel for how it works. But I also want you to understand how good you already are. And then if there's any tweaking to talk about, we absolutely will. So with that said, this is going to be about having a killer press kit. And and that is going to be our next our next conversation.

But there's a couple of things I want you to know first that I think are really an important segue before we get there. So not sure why Keith is coming up as the picture but I don't know maybe you're typing or something. But here's you. So here's what I want you to know. You're here in this program because you're overwhelmed. And guess what?

As an expert in your field, every time you attract a client, it's because they're overwhelmed. They just want you to think about this. So because we already said you're an expert, so to you information you already know it's easy. In fact, you may sometimes sit back and go, like, you don't know what like, I know all of that. Like, how do you not know that? But the truth is, most people don't.

You actually have a finger on the pulse of something. And it's like sitting on gold. And if the people who need that and want that information would have it, huge life changing. So you also are here because you you're overwhelmed. And I'm saying that because I want to honor exactly where you are. We talked a little bit in the first session about being overwhelmed.

And that it's okay. The best thing you can do with overwhelm is say, Ah, that really rings true that resonates. And I don't need to live there, I can actually let go because there's an expert leading this class, who's going to take me where I want to go, I can just be present one step at a time. That's all I need. Right? With that said, the same is always going to be true for you in your area of expertise.

You have clients who come to you if you teach a class, if you do live events, if you speak on radio, anywhere you are, where you're heading up something or even networking, and you're going to talk about your subject your niche and people are going to be like, I don't even know what to do with all of that. But I would love to be in that world or I'd love to understand health or I'd love to be healed. I'd love to know how to get the job I really want. Or I, I'd love to know how to put something together that will be received, or there's so many different possibilities here or I want to be interviewed. So let's just acknowledge the overwhelm and just say that's exactly what attracted you hear. So you're in the right place, and you're the right person.

And now we can let go with that from acknowledging it. And the point about the program is that this will create a lot of ease for you, we're going to get a system down, and that's going to be strategy and technique. And then we're going to get some skills down and beingness down and understanding the ins and outs of doing an interview properly and comfortably. So be gentle with yourself from week to week. do the homework if you keep up with the homework, you will add so loosely. All of this, be able to be interviewed during this course.

You try To me, thank you so much. So definitely sit back and let me guide you. And I want to teach a system so that the overwhelm actually goes away. And that's why we're all here in the ultimate visibility program. Today, I want you to know today is your best day of your life. And today is the worst day of your life.

And what I mean by that is, today is the worst day of your life to your future self. But today is the best day of your life to your past self. And in this moment, and in any moment that you're interviewed, you will always be your best self and your worst self. You'll be better than your last interview and worst, worse than your next interview. And that means you're exactly where you're supposed to be. Every time we do an interview.

We learn so much because we listen back and we hear The things that were amazing and that worked and the things Oh, okay, that I could improve. Okay, maybe I spoke a little too long there, oh, maybe there are a couple of us enums Are you knows are, you know some kind of repetitive pattern that actually doesn't work. So you will always improve your skills. Again, be good to yourself, be gentle to yourself, just know you're doing the best in that day that you possibly can with what you know, and it will get better. So first, you put together your message as you did before the program began, and then you worked on your pitch letter. And next, you're going to work on your media, one sheet, and plus some interview skills.

So once we have the paperwork, so to speak, because it's all electronic really put together then we're going to work on the interview skills. I'll guide you through The only way to improve skills is to be interviewed is to actually do it. And then be interviewed again and again and your skills are going to naturally Excel as your comfort with the process does. So we are in session two today, going forward. In session three and four, just know ahead of time, you are going to submit yourself to radio and podcast shows. You're going to receive a list from me of radio and podcast shows, names, contacts.

And I'm going to guide you through how to submit and the goal is to be interviewed. While you're in this program. I want you to be interviewed for a couple of reasons. Most importantly, I want you to know that you got this that while you're in this class. It's not just stuff I'm going to teach you and you're going to go back out and go, Oh, maybe I have to listen to all those replays and I don't really remember how to do it and falls by the wayside. I want you to know while you're here live with me, you got this.

And I want you to know the process the door has opened, and you didn't just step through it and put in a toe, you stepped through it. And you can book and book and book, I'm going to ask you to submit yourself to at least 10 shows and you're going to see how easy it is because you'll have the system down to the submitting. You basically change someone's name and maybe a little info in the first paragraph about their particular show. Otherwise, you will already have what you submit the other pieces submitting yourself to shows that are appropriate for your subject. That's important. So at the very least, I want you to be booked, scheduled, even if it's in advance to be on the show and you can't pull out most preferred is that you have the actual interview.

Why? Because we're here to support you If you do the interview and you come back, obviously, you'll have a massive win and celebration to talk about. Also, you may have questions. You may have questions by the QA that you say, I went through this experience, I wasn't sure how to handle it. I have questions about this or what would happen if it'll give you some real life experience to bring back and get coached on get some tweaks. So yes, that's the goal.

That's the intention that you're interviewed while you're in the program, you receive the support before and after the actual interview. So I'm going to ask you in the chat box, each of you right now to write in the chat box, your commitment, so I'm seeking a commitment from you, that you will write in the chat box, your name, I will submit myself for an interview. Sometime between weeks three and four, if you don't mind, and I'm actually gonna open the chat box, which I don't usually do. And just write in the chat box that you are committed to submitting yourself for interviews during this class. And I'll wait to see you guys type. Thank you, Kathy.

Thank you, Keith. Thank you, Renee. You all high fives. Beautiful. Laurie. And Julie, Julie.

I don't know if you know where the chat box is. But if you look down at the Yes, awesome. Okay, so, thank you, everybody. I accept your commitments. Just No, that is my intention for you. Okay, so how can I get booked on radio and podcasts?

Number one question numero uno that coaches, speakers, healers, entrepreneurs, small business owners all ask. They all desire it. They all require it. But they don't know how to bridge that gap. So let's talk first about some of the massive mistakes that leaders thought leaders will call them the thought leaders make that actually stops them from being successful. being interviewed.

So the third massive mistake is systems. And you're learning systems here you're literally learning message, pitch letter, media, one sheet. That's your system. And you're also learning how to address somebody in an email. When you don't have your system, things go wonky. I get emails.

Gosh, I don't know how many hundreds every week. But I can tell you easily. I can't respond to them all. But I can tell in a moment when I look at that email, pro amateur, not going to have an amateur on my show. And if it's a pro, then they have to stand up to the other pros, the publicists, the agents, and other remarkable individuals who may be seeking out my show and a spot on my show. And we have so many spots, it's coveted.

So why you? We give you an example. I had a gentleman by the name of Frank come to me and say, Can I work with you? I'd like to hire you for some private coaching. I really want to get booked to be interviewed. And so we set up some appointments and before we hung up, he said and by the way, I just want you to know, I really don't think that this stuff works.

Like what stuff do you mean? He said, I don't think this interview thing works, because I sent out about 10 different emails to different radio shows. And not one of them answered me. So well, that's interesting, because people who work with me get booked on shows. Why don't you send me what you sent out? And let's see what's going on.

We'll start there in our first session. So Frank sent me the email that he had sent to the radio station. And I looked at it and sure enough, right, what was the one thing in common to that party and that was Frank, so I'll tell you exactly what his email said to your ex. My name is Frank and I just wrote a book called x. My book launch date is coming up on X. I would love some support on the book launch and I'd love to be a guest on your show, period. New paragraph, here's my website URL.

Please take a look at it. To learn more about Sincerely, Frank. Okay, let's go over what went wrong there. Frank starts out in the very first paragraph by saying, I wrote a book. I have a lodge, I want to be on your show. numbers there are mentioned that he understands Debbie dash anger that he understands dare to dream radio and podcasts that he's even listened to any of my shows, because if you listen to my show, he'd know he was a great fit or not.

Second of all, he's talking about himself. And none of us really care. Everybody's written a book. That's not going to get you on a show. But if it gets you on a show, you bet on something much bigger and deeper than just a book. What value are you going to bring my audience?

I will tell you right now and I speak. I do media summits, I speak on stage many times a year in front of attendees who want to get booked as an icon of influence. And one of the things that Not just myself. But the other icons say over and over again, as I've nurtured my audience, I am on air for 12 plus years, right? My audience has been with me that long. They know me like me, trust me.

I'm going to bring on a guest. They've got to be exceptional. They're going to stay listening to my show. It's because the conversation is amazing. And the content is asis. So you need to tell me upfront, why you what is the content?

What is the relevance you're going to provide? And the secret is, it doesn't have to do with you. It's your knowledge. It's your expertise. But you know, something we want me you've got to address that. What are you going to give us right?

And the last thing is that Frank said, here's my website, check it out. I don't know about any of you. I don't have time. None of the podcasters none of the radio people will ever spend hours perusing somebody website to determine if you're right or not, and what you might want to speak about. It just won't happen. You need to do the work for us.

So it's a super simple yes or no. And in this class you're going to get Yes. So, of course, naturally, we changed everything Frank was doing, he learned the proper way to address somebody and to put a package together and of course, he started getting booked on shows and doing an amazing job. The second massive mistake that thought leaders make that stop them from being interviewed or successfully interviewed is etiquette. When a host invites you on to their show, they're giving you their platform. They're saying, I have 1000 people, 10,000 people, a million people who tune in to hear me every week or listen to my replays.

I am gonna give you my platform to share your message, your products, your service, your knowledge. These are people you would never meet without my platform. Now, if you get booked on my show, let's just say I'm just throwing out numbers for math. Let's say I have 10,000. listeners, you just met 10,000 people who have never met you otherwise, let's say you book yourself intentions, do the math. That's 100,000 listeners who would have never met you. These are the ways that you feel workshops, you sell books, you sell products, you sell services, you get coaching clients, corporate clients, whatever it is you're looking for, is possible when you do it correctly.

Part of doing it correctly, is gratitude. It's the grace of knowing that there is somebody who is giving you their platform. Always, always Always two things, get your materials in on time, it is unacceptable to even consider that a host or a station will chase you down. I have taken people off my show because of it. Not kidding. It's very rare because I work with pros, but the rare time it has happened, it has happened a time or two with the name.

I can't do it. I can't do it. And most of us won't do it. Because there if you already have your packages, there's no reason why if you're getting booked three weeks, three months in advance and somebody says give me your materials by this date. You get your materials by that date or earlier. Period.

You must you in full disclosure, I have all of you just raise your hands. Have you ever had a client that sucked? Have you had a client that was so difficult to work with? is like, Oh, please don't let me do that again. Please don't let me attract that kind of person, right? We've all been there.

It's awful. And it's really easy to say, okay, that's not my ideal client. This is my ideal avatar. This is who I want to create work with. That's yummy. Not so much here.

You only need to do that once to get it right. No, that doors closed. It's the same way interviewing. It's not that much different. It actually makes it incredibly difficult. Guess what we're trying to do promote you in advance.

You don't give us your materials. We can't do it. We can't tell your audience you're coming up. We can't put your stuff up on social media or websites. And we can't research you properly. So etiquette is getting your stuff in on time or before and the other piece of it is saying thank you.

12 Years later, I've been interviewed on over 900 media outlets. I still to this day, every time I'm interviewed, tell us some it's podcasts, radio, television magazines doesn't matter. I always follow up with a personal Thank you. Email card doesn't matter, but I always acknowledge the person the kind of job they're doing and what it means to me. Now I'll take that one step further. If someone actually gets you work, you sell 100 or more books, you fill a workshop, you get clients send them a gift, right?

You're developing a relationship with an influencer. And it can be a $25 Starbuck card. It will resonate. I mean, I can tell you, there's artwork. And at least 50% of the artwork in my place, is from guests I've had in the show who had some Things significant happen. And these are real artists.

I have a geode of Amethyst geode this size. I've got amazing things over the years and the gift cards which are awesome too. And the card cards, just take a moment and yes, if they bring money into your life and some influence and clients, a little gift is beautiful. You are developing relationship. So etiquette, the first massive mistake that thought leaders make in stopping the success of them being interviewed is they sabotage themselves. So the interesting thing about sabotage is that there's this complete nut knowingness about Wow, PR is a tool.

It's actually a free tool. And I could use it anytime I can use it as much as I want or as little as I want. And that's the you don't know what you don't know syndrome. I had a gentleman by the name of You've come to me. Now Steve is on the other side of the spectrum of clients come to me from all points of view. He's a coach.

This is a guy, very high end coach Coach for LinkedIn coach for Starbucks, Microsoft, or the CEO of Seattle Seahawks. So high functioning right? Yet he was frustrated because he said, I really want to speak more. And I feel like the way to do that is through a book. And I feel like the way to, to really exponential eyes what I'm doing so I'm a go to expert, not just one on one, I wouldn't want to be the one to many guy. So that was his dream.

So he bought his book to me. I did an international best selling launch and concurrently he hired me to train him and get him booked on radio and podcasts. So international bestseller done and at the same time, he had math skills. But they had to be honed because being a speaker and being an interview guests very different skills. So he got very savvy with the skills started getting booked more and more. And something started happening out there for him like a tsunami.

All these companies that he had done work for all these individuals that he had been coaching for suddenly said, oh, let's go on to Steve's world. Steve has this book. It's an international bestseller. Steve is on this radio show that radio show I know because they're posting on Twitter and Facebook and his newsletter and right and that's another piece of etiquette By the way, we promote you promote it is cross promotion. You never, never don't put your show out there to your audience. The magic is cross promotion.

So there's all this massive cross promotion going on. And people are starting to say, I like Steve is not just an expert on what I knew him to be an expert. He's playing a whole new game. The world is apparently noticing steam because there's some big stuff happening. It started to happen of its own volition. So you started getting invited to massive stages to speak, you know, the ones with the big.

It's so big that they have to project him up on the screen. So the folks in the back can see, they started buying his books for everybody in the audience. I mean, big, beautiful, wonderful, yummy things are happening for Steven, I'll tell you, it's been a couple of years. He still sends me a text now and then says, I still want you to know you changed my life. It's still happening. Awesome.

You know, that's what happens when a client is hungry and willing to do the work. They step in, you can be a guide, but when you have the other half and someone's really willing to show up that's what happens. Another client as you can see a completely different point of view. And and you may relate to this. Kim who came to me and Kim was working in forensics in a police department and it's not at all without You wanted to do super good at her job, but not going on in the passion department. She really wanted to coach and what she loved doing.

There's a couple of things very upbeat gal, but she loved coaching, how to do an interview for HR. And she has some other life passions. So she was like, What am I going to do? How am I going to bridge that gap because I'm functioning here making my money here not happy really want to be there. But I feel like if I could start to step into my expertise around interviews, that I might start to get known and start to attract the right people to actually create this and she understood don't leave the day job yet, right. But we worked on all her skills, her package, put together her skills easy cuz she actually had mad skills in this area.

And she did start to be interviewed. She concurrently started her own podcast shows so she starts getting known even more out there as an expert. And I can tell you right now, this is all candidates. She completely left her forensic job. And she's doing so well yet another person who was like hell yeah, I'm in whatever it takes, I'll do the work. And although it took some time to get her there over a year, what she started to be able to, like live and exist in was these interviews.

And once the light goes on and things like that start happening for you. There's a lot of excitement of possibility there. So Kim has a very high function these days. Media coaching is important. Y'all have heard of Oprah Winfrey. And y'all have heard of the Kardashians.

Some of you may have heard of Ed Sheeran. Right, the singer songwriter, when you see these people being interviewed on TV when you see them or hear them being interviewed on radio podcasts, they're good, right? They're amazing. There's a reason why there's amazing. They all hired an interview coach, a media coach, they didn't just go out there and bang it out on their own. They literally had precise coaching.

Why? Because we live in a media centric world. We are our own broadcasters, 24, seven. And if you want to have a message that works and lands and have the skills and get results, and these people get results, you need to learn how to do it properly. The question is, if you're a business, don't you want to be seen invisible? If you have a gift or a skill, don't you want exposure for that?

Because you're here to serve people and help people. If you have a book, don't you want people to know about it? recognition is actually a strategy. So understand recognition is a strategy. being interviewed requires a plan, and a strategy. And that's why we're all here.

So let's talk a bit The next step in your evolution here, which is the press kit, and I'm going to head back to our PowerPoint. And this is a sheet that it has a lot on it. But I want I thought about putting it on separate pages, but I actually wanted on one page because the press one, it's called the one sheet, and it's a one sheet. So take a look at this. And you'll see here are the components, right? Of what you're going to be submitting to people biography, I'm guessing you all have a great biography.

You will need A great headshot of yourself. And these are just if you feel a little like Oh, I'd like to check out my biography and see how great it is just know for people being interviewed the one thing you want them in a bio is your first sentence must say at all, your name and your title. Why, because even though you may submit a paragraph to a show, there are a lot of hosts who may just say one sentence about you and you're off and running, make that one sentence count. So we're really clear who you are what you do. And this is just a template in case it's of interest to you. You're welcome to use it and it says, My name is a title who works with who you help to how you help them, boom.

If you want to know more than next paragraph, first name knows or believes what you know, believe about the work you do. So this is a template, you can use it if you want. I don't want to spend too much time here because I actually also have different ways that I work with BIOS when I work with clients. And I really like to I like that first paragraph very much. You can certainly use this, but I also very much like excuse me I also like the fabulousness effect, and that's help, because I'm immediate. That's what I do.

So I would say my name, my job title, but then I'm going to tell you some great stuff about me right up front. Maybe there's some famous people I've worked with, maybe I been interviewed or 900 plus media outlets, maybe I've been award winning show, maybe I've written three international bestsellers. Maybe I've spoken on the same stage as Marianne Williamson. Maybe I've interviewed people that would blow your mind and I'm going to list some of those names. Maybe I've been in the cover of several magazines, maybe, you know, etc. And then I'm going to back it up with my education.

I'm going to tell them, I majored in performing arts at USC and etc, etc. But it's just going to be the best of the best that supports who I am and what I do. And sometimes for many of you, you may want to start Towards the end of your bio, that you work one on one, you work in groups, retreats and workshops, it gives us a great idea of what's possible. So the art of the pitch letter will you've you worked on your pitch letter this week, and you've learned to keep it short and sweet. Only the most important information we have a very short attention span, we get lots of emails, so have yours stand out and have a clever subject line. At the very least, you could have in the subject line guests for your show your name, and a little bit about yourself or guests for your show, and maybe something clever.

It's up to you and you can work your way up to that if it's easier just to stay with the guests your name and what's possible. And always have an offer. It could be I will I'm happy to give out some three books, it could be if you have a gift. I can do some a couple of readings during the show to your listeners. It could be you know several things, think about what's possible for you to give. Now, for many of you, it's going to be because you have an opt in on your website, you're going to have a free report free chapter from your book, you're going to have a free meditation you're going to have a free What are your people want need, it's got to be yummy.

So people will take the time to go to your website knocked in these is like I really need that. My website has learn what your message is out to your world. So they give me their email and their name and in turn, I give them I give them with a report that actually takes them through the process. So yes, something short that instantly is a good turnaround for you. And the press kit which is where we are now with the press one sheet or media Do one sheet interchangeable is a professionally designed flyer, wink wink nudge nudge because you're going to do it based on the template I give you. And basically it has your short bio, who you are, what you do, why you're an expert in your field, and how you can benefit an audience.

You know what's amazing, you already did this work. That's basically your pitch letter done into a press kit. Now, some people like it's a PDF, obviously, you'll save it in a PDF. Some people like to make it interactive, meaning that there'll be hyperlinks are clickable URLs within there, or it might say website and it's a hyperlink and you could actually click on Debbie dash finger comm you could just go there with the cursor and boom, it takes me into my somebody's into my website, maybe my book title, they can click on that it sets them into my book, my podcasts that could be several different Ways maybe I've been in a magazine, the magazine cover blog, whatever it is that I'm Hawking. I can let them know where it is. Maybe it's my social media, maybe I've got a huge following, right and I want them to see what's possible, but also connect with me there.

So basically you're saying in a press media kit, here is everything you need, like you could book me tomorrow. If we're both free, and you've got all your talking points, you've got my bio, you've got my headshot, you know everything about me. And that is going to be a content filled show. I want to give you a very interesting way that you can find out about a press kit, a press media kit you like if there's somebody in your field that you look up to. And that's where you'd like to be functioning ultimately go on their website. And every one on their website will have a tab that says press media.

And you click on it, and you'll see what their stuff looks like. And you can emulate that. So that, so yes, check out people who you know, and like and approve of and look at what they're doing out in the world. And you'll start to see what their press kit looks like. It should be right there for anyone to download. Because if I want to book them on my show, I don't even need to have their publicist send me something, although they often do, they can send me a URL, it's already there.

I can just go on their website and you can do the same. You can create a tab on your website once you have all of this created. One Stop Shop. So here's your template. And you'll see And again, it's in your Dropbox little space for your headshot. Got your first name, last name.

The title is what you do out in the world. And then the first paragraph will be your bio. Right under that will be your popular media topics. Now remember, it's not questions that they could ask you that's actually different. That's talking points. This is what do you know that we don't know that would help our lives?

What can you deliver? That will be really interesting for you to talk about fun and really interesting for us to learn about. And then at the bottom praise if you've got any cool testimonies. There's two spaces there and then your contact, your email, your phone, your website and your social media links. Tada. That's it.

So you will drag and drop into this and create your own pitch letter. This week. So how is that for everybody so far? Just chime in because I want to get a connection and feel for you right now. Does it feel doable? And does it feel like you're understanding more about what's going to happen?

So essentially, the system is, when you find a show that you write for, and you have the contact information, I'll be providing that for you. Then you send them the pitch letter, which you've already put together, but it's an email, right? You've already done that. And then you're going to attach to it, your one sheet, and that's what you're going to create. And that will be your homework this week. Good or good?

Thumbs up. Awesome. I have a question. Can you hear me? I can't keep things. Thanks.

Okay, so I noticed we're submitting our home via Facebook and stuff like that. But as we get closer and finalizing it, are you going to be doing like a one on one kind of thing? There's to touch it up, make it make it fine and make it clean and stuff like that, you know, grammars are making it better or stuff like that are or do we help each other out to improve it? How does How is that done? Great question. You know, I'm not doing that in this six weeks.

So basically, that's like copy. It's like copyright editing and one on one stuff, and I totally get the need for that. You won't get that here. You're welcome to post it in Facebook and get feedback from all of us. And certainly, you're welcome to bring it here and say, hey, I want to pop it up on the screen or attach it here in the chat room. Can we take a look at what I've created or you know, you can share it on Your own end.

And, yeah, we could totally take a look in real time because everybody can learn from you. And I am going to be going deeper in the future. So there's going to be other opportunities that are going to open this up to even deeper work around visibility and deeper work around how to get out there and really intricate skills. And at that point, there'll be a live event I'm going to do coming up in a month and a half or so and there'll be other opportunities and some of that is going to start to bring in more of the private and the group situation. So people can really accelerate for this particular ultimate visibility formula, which is literally how to get booked on radio and podcasts in 60 days or less. You're getting moved forward very quickly.

I know you have the skills for sure. And I guess my question to you keep Since you posted and I did read everything you you set up on Facebook when you submitted your pitch letter, did you work on it after the feedback? I didn't have time. I just was looking at it again just now in between our calls and stuff. And I noticed what I missed. So yeah, I'll work on it.

I do have a copywriter that's working on my website and stuff that I saw maybe lead like, Are you open to that using a copywriter obviously is better right? You know, I, here's my thing. I don't mind of course, if you have somebody you can pay him. That's a beautiful thing. But it must be in the vein of which I set it up. Like that's your success right here connection to the show who you are, why are you writing me?

Like that's one of the things that was missing from yours. You went right into something about a show. And then from talking about the show you like to suddenly started bringing up subjects but there was all the Transition pieces were missing. So I would have received that not understood. Yeah. Why are you connecting?

And that's literally all your stuff means. I don't know if a copywriter will know that for you. But if that's the way you want to go hundred percent, take a stab at it or have them and then you could post that and give feedback. But if you will follow the the literal template that I gave you and just change the words for your own words, very successful. Okay, perfect. I'll look at it again.

I'll revisit later. Thank you wait, and by the way, keep something you can do, because you're going to have to decide because you have two things going on. And you may want two different pitch letters. One thing you have going on is that you're an inspiration, right? you're somebody who can get up on stage and interviews and talk about this is where I was. This is where I am today.

I understand These troubles, I wasn't smart. But I got smart. I don't do that anymore. I don't live there anymore. Fact My life is completely different. And I can get you there too.

I can help you. Release your problems to let me show you. That's really your message. Right. That's your incredible story inspiration. You can use your book Keith and I are working on his book right now you can use in your book on your back cover.

You've got some really good already bullet points there. You can utilize. Oh, thank you. Right. So there's that. Then on the other hand, you've got this health consciousness, this beautiful spa place that you and Helen your wife are running.

You may also want to create a pitch letter for that. That would appeal to a completely different Radio Podcast. Stage speaking audience, and that's completely viable. And if you have any copy for yourself right now, like, Why Why come to our place? Why would you want to be here? What do we offer?

So I don't mean like, you know, you get an IV drip of peptides What I mean is, you know, cutting edge knowledge of the latest ways for anti aging, that you know, you're on the pulse of XYZ, that you and we did some of this together. So you know, your work with corporate people who are at the really distressed and that they finally find an oasis to get their health and their peace of mind back. Like these are great subjects, right, you can talk about on a podcast and we'll give an audience like compelling reason to tune in. You're closer to your material. Then you know, haha, okay. Yeah.

Thank you. Your pleasure. Good question. Anyone else before we move on? All right, can I just send things to me when you were talking earlier before you even moved into the one sheet, and you're talking about the significance that you know, podcasts can have on your business. So in 2017, I did a lot of podcasts.

And in 2018, I, I Well, first of all, I was on entrepreneurs on fire, which is john Lee Dumas. Yeah, He's good. He's good. And I must have gotten about 200 downloads for my free opt in. So my list built with that interview by 200 more significantly just this week and I want to share it at the beginning and I thought I'm not sure if this is right or relevant. I did a podcast for franchisees in regard to hiring a corporate franchise owner.

So it was a franchise podcast, a corporate franchise owner last year, middle of 2018, did it in 2017 2018 heard it and forwarded it to someone in his office because they're growing so quickly. They have 65 franchises now they want to grow to 100 it within the next two years, literally just signed contracts with them to help them recruit for two major positions on their team this last week, which is going to result in about $35,000 to my business right now. I mean, literally just did it talk to him for about an hour and a half today. So that's the significance Have a podcast and I, I'm sitting here working with you, because I know how good you are at it. Like when I did that in 2017. I don't even know how good I was, you know what I mean?

So I just think it's, it's really important for me to share that, because Wow. And now I'm going to send that the person that did the franchise podcast, I'm going to send them a $25 amazon gift card, because he rocked it for me. So thanks a lot for saying that earlier. Yeah, that is like Mike Trapp. Thank you. I'm so glad you shared that Kathy.

Was a lot there. What Kathy just said is gospel when you do a good job, right? You don't. I've had people I've spoken from stage right. And I've had people say, Oh my god, how can I work with you, I want this. I've also had people go, Oh, I loved what you shared.

I'm gonna just start booking myself and I'm looking at them thinking, oh my goodness, because they have zero skills. And you can blow an opportunity or you can make something amazing happen with the opportunity. That's why the media coaching is so huge. So Kathy, you are a living example. The fact I mean john Lee Dumas that will be a conversation to find out how you got booked on that because that's really tremendous love that you are that. Put that in your press kit.

Yes, hundred percent bio, all of that. And clearly you are a perfect example of somebody who's got a niche that people in that niche or doing that theme on their Radio Podcast, want to have a conversation about the fact You're able to take it and translate it to the business of franchises is phenomenal. Because it means you're not just a one lane gal, it actually branches out into a lot of different places and spaces, people in business who would be fascinated to have conversation with you the value and content you bring. You landed a job, more money coming in. And you must have done a very good job because somebody who interviewed you believed in you and liked what you shared so much. They took it upon themselves to send it to somebody else.

And look what resulted. So you also built relationship and influence. And those are massive parts of this prop this process. And what is so interesting, I always look for how I feel about something. I would love to hear that interview. I am fascinated by franchises.

Just you know And what's possible. So I think it would be very cool if you don't mind to post in our Facebook group if you have the links to either of those interviews, because it'd be great for us to hear what you did anybody who would like to take the time to listen to that. I know I would. Thank you, thank you and I actually as part of my social media, as well as on my website, I have nothing but like, you know, my 10 best podcasts right on my website, as well as I circulate those through social media all the time. So the link those two links in particular right there, and I need to you remind me that I need to listen to the franchise one again. Yeah, and you know, you can repurpose things just so you know, you know, this franchise, one, Kathy can take and work with somebody who doesn't know what to do sound editing, you know, even through Fiverr if you like and just say I, this is like aces, you know, minutes one through two and a half It's an unbelievable soundbite.

And you know, you can repurpose it and put it places use that social media to promote yourself for something or there's a lot of ways to use it or even promote the show you're on. So it's very true what Kathy said, you will have that also, your press Tab can have your pitch letter, your media sheet, your bio headshot picture of your book. And as well, you can have anything that is outstanding. Maybe you're at a TV show, you just want a little clip of you on a morning show or a news show. You can have the podcast, you could have the whole thing or you know, just this piece was phenomenal. You choose but it's really lovely to have it a moment's notice if I was interested in Kathy and I'm like, before I approach her, let me just check it out.

Go to her website, cool press media makes my life so easy. I can read all about her. I can even click on her podcast while I'm reading about her. Listen to her. Just sit back and listen. I'll know until seconds that she's a pro.

I want to book her. So this is really great, really great. All of these practices that you can all use to thank you. And congratulations, woohoo. Major, high five for your girl. Bam.

Podcast Mic drop. All right. Anyone else? Okay, so you know that in your Dropbox, you've got your template, have had it this week. If you want to post it in our Facebook group and between do so. That's what it's there for.

You want to post a win, feel free to do that too. Okay. Cool. So again, we're going to head back to the power point. Okay, so the system basically is you verbalize your message? Well, most of you have a message now, if you haven't completed it, do so it's really important because the moment somebody says, Hey, welcome to the show, who are you what do you do?

Bam, you'll have your message. Just know for all of us, we have a good enough message. Some of them are phenomenal. But if it's good enough, start using it. And you can tinker as the time goes on. You have your pitch letter, immediate one sheet how you reach out to somebody is you find the show that you're a fit their name, their email, or maybe it's a the producer or the scheduling person, maybe you cc a bunch of them.

And then they've got the pitch letter, email, your media, one sheet is attached. Tada, you send it off. You will learn the technique to be interviewed meaning the actual process When it is live, and one of your homeworks, and we'll get to that after this next piece is you'll do some role playing. That will also be your homework. This is fun, fun, easy profitable to chain. It's really fun.

So everybody on their cell phone should have some kind of recording device. And if you don't, for whatever reason, whatever recording device you have, you'll take it out. And you'll ask a friend, a neighbor, a family person, a colleague, someone you feel really comfortable with just Hey, I'm in this class, the ultimate visibility formula, and I need to do some homework. And the homework is actually to do a mock interview. So if you don't mind to play the interview host I'll be the guest and just asked me some questions. It's only going to be 15 minutes, we're going to record it and then you know, I set you free to go on with your life.

I would do quite a few of these and I'll tell you why. You'll do a mock interview with somebody, you record it, bless them, thank them. And sometime that day, go back and listen to yourself. I mean, 15 minutes, you can listen while you drive somewhere right to replay it. While you're waiting in line for something. Listen to yourself.

And hear how you sound as though you were somebody tuning into a show. Are you intrigued? Are you compelled? Is there material here that wants you to keep listening? In other words, you're not going to go to another channel or tune out or shut it off? No, I really want to keep listening.

Something's going on here. It's very interesting. It doesn't make you want to tune out if so why is there so many azer ons does the person you answer quickly and succinctly, to they go on and on and you know, you need to bring it in and curtail it. So there's so many ways for you to be in danger. During your role playing, and every time you listen, listen with the ear, celebrate what you're great at naturally. And if there should be anything, I'd like to tweak that, then you go into the next mock interview with that in mind, that you're going to change that mindfully.

While the interviews going on 15 minutes are over, thanks and bless them. And some time that day, listen back, and you really start to hear a couple of things. One, you're probably much better than you think you are. And to, here's where I Excel don't need to touch that. Here's where I can do a little bit of work. I'm going to mindfully change that every successive time I move forward.

So you have some court interview questions that you can use here if you like. And I'm going to copy paste them into our Okay, let me escape from this escaping. Okay. Go back here and see let's see if I can do a copy paste. And right, it should let me do this. Beautiful.

Okay. So we're going to stop the share, go back here and I'm going to post this here in case you would like to use any of these questions. And the thing is you don't have to use these questions or you can have them use some of them. But I would also like after you do this for a little bit, I'd also really like you to ask whomever is doing this with you, based on what you say, and their curiosity to ask you another question. They are their role is not to slip you up. It's not a game.

So let them know, like you really role playing, right? You're an actor, this is your job, be or be a radio or podcast host for real? Because sometimes if you don't know what's coming up next, that's going to be way more like life. So is there anybody who would like to is brave enough to roleplay with me? And I will ask you questions. And let's see how you do and I'll give you feedback.

You can give me feedback. We can do some real life coaching right now that everybody can learn from so feel free to just jump in. Raise your hand or unmute yourself. Was that Laurie? It wasn't, but I'll totally go. Okay.

Well, isn't that funny, huh? Sure. Yeah. Just so you know, before we get started, you're going to hear Sydney laughing in the background a lot. She's jumping on our trampoline in the other room. So.

Okay. Welcome to dare to dream. This is Debbie dash finger. And my guest today is Laurie cowling. And Lori, you're finally on the show. Welcome.

It's really great to have you. Thanks. It's really wonderful to be here today. I'm looking forward to having a conversation with you because your subject intrigues me But first, I want you to let the listeners know a little bit about what you do out in the world. So tell us what your job is and what it is you actually create out there. I create a conversation around celebrating uniqueness.

I realized long time ago that we built this thing around difference and we make difference wrong. And in doing that we create these powerful sensations of isolation, and abandonment and punishment. So then when we go out into the world and we want to share who we are and being our passion, we always have this sitting in the back of our head that differences wrong. So see uniqueness was created and born out of that passion to celebrate our difference, and allow it to move us forward in all that we want to do. Is this a passion that you've always had? Or was there some kind of experience that happened in your life that brought up that you really want to address uniqueness and difference?

The biggest catalyst for this experience is my daughter. So my daughter is two 21 years old and amazing young woman who was born with Down syndrome. And she shines this light in the world by knowing and showing that you are perfect exactly as you are. So she creates this space to allow us all to see the beauty in every moment in its ever changing uniqueness, and I really desire to create that space for other people. When you think about your daughter, and the relationship you have and how special she is, what is the one word that comes up for you? Love it every way.

She magnifies this sense and feeling and sensation of love. I'm really curious Laurie, if so she's 21 so if I had spoken to you when you were 25 And I wish I would have told you you're going to have a daughter with down syndrome. It's going to change your life, it's probably going to change who you are. What would you have said, Would you have ever known? The joy of the journey? What would you have thought back then?

So beautiful because I was actually pregnant when I was 25. You know, I would have been afraid I would have been afraid when I look at it now and I I'm able to go back The truth is, I didn't know that difference was so magnificent. And I was taught that difference meant you were going to be hurt. So back then I would have had no idea Did you say you're going to be hurt or hurt? hurt? Hmm.

What do you say that? So difference, when we make it wrong always brings us sense of abandonment or punishment or isolation. So even as a kid when we're trying to do things within our family, we do it different than we're supposed to do. Sometimes you get punished. Sometimes people won't talk to you. And so there's hurt and fear around being different.

I definitely had that I never could have expected that my life would be so filled with such a powerful beauty. How can people find you How can they work with you? What do you offer? So we're, I'm seeing uniqueness. We are launching a program soon called inspired connections. And we are working with leaders and families and communities and corporations to help them have uniqueness and celebrating uniqueness is the cornerstone of their commitment to their teams and their families.

So you can find us at sea uniqueness calm, and you can book to have a consultation session with me through our uniqueness.com apply. What could why would people apply? What kind of consultation would they get? It would be a consultation to see exactly what program you fit in, whether it's our 3d inspired connection program, our bigger program where we have more more concepts that we're working with. Thank you. Thanks for coming on the show today.

It's been great to have you. Thank you. Seen Okay. Thank you brave one magnificent job and I want to start with you. How did that feel? Um, it felt Until the late the last questions, because that's something I'm just working on developing.

So I could feel the panic and myself. I didn't know how to answer it. Um, the questions that you asked they were unexpected. So it felt okay to talk about them because I can talk from my heart about them. Right? Yeah.

Great. Here's my feedback. Great job. Really, I agree with you. 100%. And I have the same exact sense juxtaposition.

You're very articulate about your situation. It's really easy to feel you. It's not just words, it's really clear, your full embodiment, alignment with this, and how special you are to for all that you stand for today because of this, and I would say, you know, there was no eyes There were no arms were no major hesitation, you were totally connected to me, you really answered the questions. The only thing was at the end, I was really curious was an amazing opportunity for you need to bring people on board. And they weren't specific. So something I would have really liked that would have made a difference at the very end, Laurie is that you would say, the people I work with are so I still didn't know why I would apply.

Is it family members, loved ones have someone with special needs? Is it the children themselves? Is it the parental support? Is it anyone in the world who feels unique and different, which is also pretty cool, you know, like, Who would want to engage with you so if you could be super clear about this? Those people, yeah. And why they would come on board.

That would be great. And of course, now you know, based on today's conversation, you're going to want to create something that's a free giveaway. So that will be spectacular for you. So something that will help people, and you'll know what's yummy in that space so that you start getting the database built up, and then they receive something and also begin to know and like you. Okay, thank you. Yeah.

That last part is something that I'm working on in so many different places right now and I'm just making it up. You know, I was totally making it up. Well, just a little business for one one for you. I'm assuming you're in groups and no other people who are families much like yours. Yeah. Perfect.

So asked Get 10 to 20 better 20 people if you can in that space and just say, Oh, do you have 15 minutes of a conversation? What would? What kind of supports you need that you're not getting? Yeah. What kind of concerns do you have that you wish were addressed? Like put together some questions like three to four marketing questions.

Don't coach don't say a word literally gather and write down exactly what they say. And you'll know exactly how to build your support system for other people. You don't even have to guess they will tell you what they need. Okay. Thank you. Brilliant.

All right, high five for you, Larry. Whoo hoo. Ha ha. Anybody else? Keith, great. Thanks for volunteering.

Okay there you go. Okay thank you so much for coming on dare to dream today I'm Debbie dashing and it's a pleasure to have you here today Do you mind to tell us just a little bit in the beginning what it is that you're doing out in the world right now I'm I'm a conscious being with choice First of all, and I basically run a clinic called Total vitality center where I empower and inspire people to become productive of health to practice positive health. Let's just say that proactive with health so what is it that you do at the clinic? What? Why would I go there? what's what's different about you guys on the blog?

It's come to the realization that a lot of diseases happens because we put wrong meaning into an event in situation. It gets bothered inside of us. So nobody becomes toxic. I can fix what's physically wrong with worse things. But if I don't, if you don't fix what's inside your head, the disease state or the symptoms will keep coming back. So my expertise is to fix what's in between your two ears.

I help deal with emotion, capacity, how we deal with life situations. That's really interesting in the beginning is talked about something like you could fix the outside. Are you a doctor of sorts, I'm a holistic health practitioner in transition to become a integrative and natural doctor. Anybody can get a year. That's my goal. Well, congratulations.

That's very cool. And your clinic is located where? Burnaby Canada. Nice. What um, what's the reason why you do this? What brought you about to even want to connect with proactive health There's a famous saying that the greatest wealth is ultimately your health.

I myself had struggled with addiction I struggled with recently been diagnosed of type two diabetes. So I had to take drastic measures for my own body because I value life. Life is precious. We only live once and I have so much to explore. So I know you live in a very, very highly as one of my priorities. So it's, you know, recently I used to own pharmacies and I seen what medication can do to people in a very negative way.

So that's why I pursued this avenue, my desires, my passion, I love serving others and healing art. That's what I do. And where can people find out more about you or your clinic you can visit my website at www dot tonal vitality center comm or visit my Facebook page. Call queue thought 339. And I also offer coaching sessions for people that may be interested in working one on one with me. Thanks for coming on the show.

I really appreciate it. Thank you. So now you know what a mock interview looks like. This is literally right. Where you can ask them questions. I was just going off the top of my head.

So Keith, how did that feel? It was good. You know, I need I need to be put into that. Because this is something that I have to do, right. I'm forcing myself and I'm getting more comfortable doing it. So thank you for putting me out there on the spot.

Thank you for saying yes. I, I was really impressed. I just want you to know that for so many reasons, but mostly because I feel your trepidation around this. And you got this That's the most important thing I could say you got this. Your answers you were right there with your answers. And here's, you'll see this in the replay.

When I asked you about why, why this, that level the playing field I was in. I was so in your story. And I'm so grateful you were that transparent. That changed everything. The whole interview changed in that moment. That was a huge pivot.

So first, you know, you said, I am committed, and here's why. I used to have health struggles I got over it. But more recently, I was diagnosed with Type Two Diabetes like my life has just changed. Health is everything I like to quote, health as well. And the importance of why you show up to do this Just was a real sobering sort of real connection that I know people will resonate with and identify with you and really appreciate you for. So that's so great.

I want you to honor yourself even more when I asked you, oh, you know, are you a doctor? And you said, Well, I'm a holistic practitioner, but I'm working my way. There was something in there that felt discrediting. And I don't care. I don't even want to know that. All I want to know is, yeah, I love education and growing, I'm ready this and in a year, I'm going to receive that.

Because what that tells me is like, you don't just speak the speak, talk the talk, you're walking the walk, like the fact that you're doing all these degrees in education, and that wasn't even enough you're going on for this. It makes me even more calm to be with you. So You know, full steam ahead, just tinker with that, and, and have some clarity also for yourself so you could start to put it in some of the things, your answers that you work with these, you generally attract these kind of people, you know, maybe you'll have some pain points about why who comes to you comes to you. And I think I wrote some of that to you on the Facebook page as part of your message. No, feel free if you can, even if you can only remember a sentence or two of that there'll be really powerful for you.

Thank you. Good job. Whoo. Okay, high five for Keith. All right, people. So what you're seeing happen here is, most people are more skilled than they know they do.

It's just about doing it and then doing it again and doing it again and do it and get right. You can all do this. You can all have a chance in the upcoming week. You can play as much as you want. So absolutely do the homework this week. And do the the press media one sheet just drop and paste and you'll have it feel free to post it if you like or bring it if you like any of that is fine.

And I can only tell you media is magical. That the story you heard from Kathy is true. My story, I had no idea I would be here doing this. And it's not what I did for the majority of my life. And I am literally here doing all of what I'm doing out in the world, as visible as I am. Because of media 100% it has been the most amazing gift and for me I feel like it is a funnel that we can use to open the door for the universe to work on our behalf.

It's like a 401k plan, right? step up and say yes, willingness, start doing something and the universe says, All right. They're really willing. They're really willing to do this. They had intention, but they're actually doing it great. 401k plan I'm going to give you 110% so you didn't realize this was coming down the pike Surprise, surprise.

It's going to be awesome. I really wanted this I'm going to open the door for you to have that awesome. There were things that happen doors that open treasure chests that open because we come visible without the exposure. People places do not know we exist. But once we allow whether we're an introvert extrovert both doesn't matter. But we are all gifted pieces of heaven, right?

In us doing what we came here to do, being who we came here to be. And we step into it, we allow ourselves to be visible and have exposure. And the universe can bring us what it is we need next and most next level next level next level and it keeps happening. So trust the process. Trust that you have this more than you know, it's just about learning the tech and the skills. And once you're out there, you're ready expert enough.

So if you don't mind to stay where you are, for just a few minutes, and we'll go over a few things after the recording stops. And next week, in our session three, here's what we're doing. We're going to be discussing hacks, some interview success tips and hacks. Next week is the week that you were Receive the list of radio and podcast shows and who to reach out to and you'll find the right connection for you. You'll have your pitch letter, complete your message, complete your media, one sheet complete. You'll do some of that fun homework back and forth and listen to yourself.

And as you listen back, just recognize, ah, this is where I Excel. This works, see what may require some paying attention to and you've got it, just switch it up. You listen to radio already, you you listen to podcasts already, you've got an idea and a filter of what works and what doesn't. So, really honor that and make those switches and changes and always be kind and gentle to yourself. Know You can check in anytime you want. We're here for you, Facebook and otherwise, I look forward to next week.

And thank you, everybody, for a really extraordinary class. Really, I'm so proud of each of you for stepping up in the world. Did anyone complaint anytime
