Complete the Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) before beginning the course to have an idea of your mindfulness at this present moment. We will be asking that you retake it at the end of the course to see how the answers may have changed. This is also a tool that you can use with clients to help them become more self&ndash;aware. The MAAS was created by Kirk Warren Brown and Richard M. Ryan in 2003. The scale evaluates one's tendency to be mindful or mindless throughout a typical day. (Kade, 2023)
