DESCRIPTION: Wellness Yin-Yang

The Wellness yin – yang™ (coined by the stress management institute). The picture above illustrates the integrative fitness and wellness approach™. The yin yang (Yin) blue side represents Eastern wellness approaches, and the orange side (Yang) represents Western wellness approaches. The eastern wellness approaches you will learn in this course are NeuRoll Calm™ Meditative Stretch™, Mind/Body Myofascial Release™, Mindful Balance™, and the Shakti or acupressure mat. The Western approaches are self–myofascial release, stretching, traditional exercise prescription, and balance exercises. As we explain each piece in more detail, you will see how these modalities are different but work in parallel with each other to help keep the body in homeostasis. (Kade, 2023)
